[Psychic Bridge II: Walkabout -> Jaunt] Late in week one

[This is the first time Yosuke's done this, but since he has quite a few skills he can bring up to seven people with him... which is most likely more than they have investigators on Walkabout side.]

Here on Walkabout radio, this is Yosuke, do I reach the jaunt side? If so, hi. We're currently talking animals and I'm a shrew. There's a whole community of talking animals in clothing over here and I think the familiar face guys who were royalty in Newport are now Badger lords.

We don't have too many over here, so the investigators on this side should be able to talk to you back. How are things over there?

Have you seen anyone from Titan Hell over there? [instead of just asking where is Jean, that'd be her first question with rushing in here but she swallows it and asks that way. ...and what is mentioning the obvious like yeah you reached jaunt side????]

[That's pretty much a confirmation he's reached the side anyway.]

Yeah, I have. At least two of them. Eren's investigating, but...

[There's a livestream of a small fox kit, talking with a bunny.] Jean's infiltrating.

[ If she would have anything to say before the best distraction ever shows up, she seems to ignore everything else from the moment of seeing the fox kit. Somewhere on the jaunt side Mikasa more or less literally melts.]

Oh... that's [ .... what are words??? Not the type to be open about how she feels about stuff, not here right now anyway... There may be some mental keysmashing at the amazing baby fox but hell like she'd let it show or hear.] really great for him for change.

[Also one of the most adorable forms ever, she is just going to silently stare for long moments and wishing she was there.]

Yeah, he seems to be enjoying himself.

[It probably shows since he's giggling a bit and wagging his tail in excitement as he looks around the people passing and showing the bunny (who is likely Usagi) around. Yosuke just happens to be in a good observation spot to see it.]

So, this is something we can do? I wondered about that.

Yep. We've learned to communicate between the jaunts and walkabouts... but also travel between them, if needed. It's all a matter of learning the right things.

The travel one I'd worked out. Doing it with just your brain, though, that's interesting.

If I wanted to learn that trick, what kind of thing should I focus on? How many people might be able to teach me?

Well, the most important part of it is learning to detect other travelers. That way you can learn to send a message towards to where the other travelers are, even if they're on the other side. Though to learn that, you've gotta learn how to eavesdrop on other's senses first. Which isn't generally a well-liked thing. So getting someone to teach it can... be a bit difficult.

But, on top of my head, I can think of at least four who contact like this besides me. One of them is even a baby.

Makes me wonder how they chose between rabbit and guardian angel this time since I'm not an angelic rabbit... [Maybe they just didn't want Usagi to drown into sins by the end of the jaunt because she'd be in so much trouble on that side.]

Who said you'd only get to see in memories...? I'll probably keep this but I also don't want you to wait for weeks to see because this is so cute...! [Whether he gets to see her now via mirror, water or Yosuke is a mystery but she makes sure Mamoru can see her right now! And she blows kisses at him.]

It's surprisingly festive, all things considered, but I believe we're here for some kind of political skullduggery so it might become a bit dangerous.

Festive? Is that what the stalls in Liminal Space were all about?

I suppose so! We're in a marketplace, and that does seem to have been what Liminal Space was foreshadowing. The number seven presumably refers to the number of levels in Purgatory...although I'm not sure that's a thing in this idealization of it.
