[At some point during the week, a livestream pops up on the network. Oddly enough, it appears to be from Minako of all people, which given that so far she's managed to avoid learning any network skills at all might be worth commenting on, at least for anyone who knows her well enough to know that... if it weren't for the actual subject of the livestream in question, which is a tad more important right now: namely the uncrowning and subsequent Fall of one Bartholomew, (formerly) Angelic (former) Prince of the Market.]

I don't know if this is going to affect anyone's plans for the guy, but...

Yeah, exactly that. I'm not sure that's covered by the other proxy skill, but I'm also kind of leery about testing it out given that we're dealing with actual living beings.

He might not be a good test case anyway. Set up one of those contingency things to put everything back, including him, if they blank out Liminal while I'm infiltrating sometime.

Which reminds me that I'm going to need to expand my room space some more, I think. I've expanded it out some already, but New Dog is going to need a place to run around if Liminal Space isn't hospitable for whatever reason. I mean, she seems to be kind of a couch potato now, but still.

We should see how she gets along with Koro-chan at some point, but... yeah, she'd probably like her own space.

I'd offer, but shadowing people isn't really something I'm good at. But if the guy's been allowed to run roughshod like this for all this time, that's... kind of suggestive in general, if not necessarily for the current situation we're here for. They may be taking an interest now, but how much of that is because of the potential change in the balance of power rather than genuine interest in the place?

But that's only speculation, and speculation isn't actual proof, so...

That was Sahaquiel, who took his scepter, I think. So at least it's in the hands of Heaven still. I say "at least" as if I think that's better, though I don't, necessarily. It just won't upset the power balance as much as it could if somebody from Hell or one of the sithen took it, or something.

There's that, yeah. Otherwise, that Dhuosnos guy might have felt constrained to give the new seat to Heaven regardless of which party got the scepter, since that party would already have two seats - or three, I guess, in the case of the Sithen. Do we know why Dhuosnos is doing the new seat thing this way, incidentally? Is it a resources thing, or...?

Given that Vulpe - Raidou's overlay, the Demon Prince - given that he warned me against getting involved with the guy, I'd say Barty-boy's definitely only tolerated because of his rank.

Sounds like he's going to have quite a time now that he's Fallen, then.

It's to keep the council from being tied if votes come up. Right now there's six seats on it, since he gave the peregrines one after the mess of our last Jaunt, so adding a seventh means Dhuosnos can be a tiebreaker vote again.

Yeah, I get that, but he'd get the same effect if he doubled the number of faction seats while still keeping the tie-breaker vote for himself. Then again, if land allotments are involved, there's only a finite amount of land to parcel out. Is it all his land here?

So he's probably not going to want to give up any more than he has to.

No, this seems like - 'lashing out' is really not the phrase I want to use with this guy, given his whole... deal... but that's basically what he's doing here. He got slapped down for abusing his power and responded with this.
