Week 2, the morning after the summoning

[Exasperation. And anger at the stupidity he's about ready to mention:]

A group of idiots just managed to summon the Genius of the Entire Atlantic Ocean, whom promptly escaped their attempts to contain him and possessed their leader. The Crown Prince and the Princess were also both present--and the genius is amenable to not murdering everyone. Even deciding to bide his time to decide which one of them he may decide to support in their fight for the throne.

Even though he seems amenable enough, he can surround you with water and drown you where you stand, so don't try his considerable patience by being a prat.

And if worst comes to worst, I've got liquid manipulation to give me enough breathing room to get away if need be.

[She's strong, but she's not so sure she's "fighting an ocean in human form" strong.]

Not drowning would be preferable, yes.

Hopefully it won't come to that.

I also hope so.

Hopefully we can at least figure out what he wants first. Unless he's trying to figure that out for himself, too.

Unfortunately, it's the latter. He has yet to decide if he wants anything at all.

...That figures.

It's not the Genius was planning to be summoned, so we can forgive him for not immediately knowing what he wants.

I'm more worried about what people might do because he's here, and how that might affect his decision at all.

I'm certain it's already too late to prevent some of our own from going against him for no particularly good reason.

Probably.

Some of us seem to have a fondness for hornet nests and sticks.

He'll likely drown those that can be, I suspect.

Not really a way I'd want to go, even if it is temporary.

Indeed. I've heard that drowning is one of the worst ways to go.

I really don't want to find out firsthand.

Nor do I. And I hope none of the other travelers attempt to find out, either.
