Week 2, the morning after the summoning

[Exasperation. And anger at the stupidity he's about ready to mention:]

A group of idiots just managed to summon the Genius of the Entire Atlantic Ocean, whom promptly escaped their attempts to contain him and possessed their leader. The Crown Prince and the Princess were also both present--and the genius is amenable to not murdering everyone. Even deciding to bide his time to decide which one of them he may decide to support in their fight for the throne.

Even though he seems amenable enough, he can surround you with water and drown you where you stand, so don't try his considerable patience by being a prat.

Do you know what we did there to evoke such ire?

I don't know the specifics, because the original Jaunt was before my time, but I know we caused a lot of chaos and damage. And then we vanished, and I think that was probably either a relief or concerning depending on who you talked to. Possibly both at once.

Likely both. You can't blame them for disliking us if that's what happened the first time.

I think it'd be more of a surprise if they were happy to see us.

I think they were happy to see us during the second Questing Country Jaunt, but I wasn't on that one so I don't know for sure. I remember hearing that they had a welcome party for the Investigators, though.

But that's the only exception I can think of, and the Arcana started interfering in that world directly at one point, which didn't help.

[Ignis is suddenly reminded that Prompto got his powers and Vern there. They're barely talking. It really does hurt.]

I think there was even talk of rescuing us from the Arcana, although I don't know how they really could have done that, especially when several of us were on a walkabout at the same time.
