I... I had one of those dreams again. The warning dreams... focus on something else if you can't deal with stuff right now. It's... it's bad.


It was morning... I could smell food, but it was quiet. Someone was slumped over a mortar as I walked down the street. I touched them and they fell over - warm, but dead. Another body in the street, and another. They all had small wounds in the back of their necks, like... a needle, maybe.

A whole bunch of people were near the bay - they looked like they were running from something. Someone was defending some kids. Someone looked like they were fighting whatever it was off. Two people were huddled together as they died. And two people were being dragged across the sand towards a big square machine that looked like a trash compactor.


I... I don't know what to do...

I concur with Q'uila, it seems as though the midges have a failsafe in them. Nothing else on this land would have quite that level of precision.

If anything, be glad that your dream has given me reason to be cautious instead of... Well.

I think if their experiment fails, or derails, they're not likely to stick around and see what the consequences are.

The ever-present cameras, the lack of memories and basic knowledge of how to walk properly, let alone your own name? It speaks of a level of control that is obsessive. It's like Omega all over again.

Who can say that your dream is accurate as to how they'll respond, but I think if we want a real chance of fixing whatever the problem is here, we'll have to err on the side of caution and not... explode everything like I so desperately want to.

I have... dreams, sometimes. It's not a hundred percent accurate but it's a possible future or at least a direction things might go... I've had them since Harrogate.

Maybe? I'm not really good with nanomachines, though, and they'd have to be pretty tiny to get in those wounds.
