[There's a surge of ugly, intense pain that gets quickly - poorly - smothered, and when Kinji talks it sounds both very hasty and through the mental equivalent of gritted teeth.]

Yakumo can poison people, injects it by touch-- he can change what people hear ya sayin' as it comes outta yer damn mouth...

[A different flash of pain - piercing - he covers up better.]

And he's got a goddamn pet Stricken, so someone needs t'let me int'yer head right goddamn now.

[She assumes it's that and not trading, but she has to ask - the latter could be disastrous if he couldn't properly control her body's yoma energy.]

[And he absolutely takes that as permission, and rushes into her body.

There's a rather physical component to the transfer, that he can't help - he doesn't bring the pain with him, thank God, but he does take over Cassandra's body in full, enough to take a huge gulp of air as he tries to calm himself down.]

[She could have taken the pain, honestly; her second death had been at Priscilla's teeth. The loss of control is a bit alarming, though - it reminds her a little too much of what had happened after Priscilla had devoured her - and she has to force herself to stay calm while Kinji recovers.]

[Mostly he just really needs to breathe for a moment. Being yanked down to the bottom of the ocean with no breath is alarming, to say the least.

But he's gotten good at reading moods while he's transferred into someone - so he's aware of Cassandra trying to stay calm, and he immediately pulls back, so he's only lurking in the back of her mind.]

Lian tripped - figured he was tryin' t'escape, grabbed him an' he poisoned me. Don't let him touch y'all, whatever his icon is can poison with his hands.

[There's a slight urgency to his tone, trying to get information out before he can't.] He's real damn good at illusions, like y'all said, but he changed what I was sayin' as I was sayin' it t'somethin' else. But I don't think he could hear me properly when he did, his answer didn't match up t' what I actually said. See if y'all can't learn what the crew saw, his eyes went funny as we went in the water, maybe he made 'em see somethin' too.

I might be better suited to a confrontation then, if one proves necessary - my body neutralizes poisons.

[Of course, if he's this dangerous, Cassandra's more likely to go for the kill if she does confront him, so that might make her a less than ideal choice for that.]
