Hoo boy. I realise this phrasing may be treading on thin ice right now, but strange things are afoot at the Aratta Skyhook.

First things first. Leah took the news that she was chosen to be the first Conductor deliberately... about as well as we figured she would. She has a theory as to why and asked me to run it by you guys. [And so she does, letting the memory play out from the linked point until Leah says she'd like to talk to the Oracle who uncovered this.]

So yeah, Thace, if she hasn't found you already, find her.

Second. I made sure to get a planetside view while I was out and about. Alexandra had never bothered before, and apparently wouldn't have understood what she was looking at anyway, and for an uninhabitable planet there's a shitton happening on the surface. And, uh, I found the source of the mysterious ticking noise, probably.

They're building a computer chip the size of fucking WYOMING.

If we can figure out a way to get to the surface, I can almost definitely hack it.

It just might take me some time... I might have to pull my notes from the last time we were here. I have a computer with a drive I don't care about melting since all of the important things are offloaded.

I'll likely also need some sort of backup and someone who knows the area decently, in case we get any authorities on our tail.

You'll need someone who can forge you some real damn authentic travel visas. Yes, for around the station as much as going to the surface. Hecatites are assholes like that. Anyone who can look like a rock will be better off doing so, but even that won't get you into everywhere by itself. I can at least show people Alexandra's credentials, possibly sneak off to Liminal and CE up some paperwork, but I can't get to the surface.

Her permissions don't extend that far, and she's more useful where she is than trying to break the mold and risking deactivation.

... Can you point me towards a system that does have access credentials? I might be able to swipe it from there. I'm pretty damn sure portals won't reach the surface, no matter how we push it.
