Would someone like to tell me why my friend and I found ourselves with surprise tattoos? I'm fairly certain they weren't there before we returned to Liminal Space - mine would have been... noticable.

Second question: how do I get rid of it? They're pretty, I'll give you that, and points for appropriate symbolism on her, at least... but I do have an aesthetic to maintain.

And uh... Is your name really Luci? My real name is Sera, and that was the first time I haven't been a girl.

I don't make promises. And if there are deals, I'm usually on the other end. So... no.

Well, that can change sometimes when you Infiltrate! So it doesn't hurt to ask. I was lucky, the Trump that marked me was very plain about making an agreement. Some try to trick you though. Others seem to just grab you without ever saying anything. Those are the ones that are big jerks.

So who marked you? And why'd you let them?

Huh? Why would anyone dislike your name that much? Even if they don't like it saying so is just rude.

I was marked by the Sun. I chose to be Marked for two reasons. In exchange for allowing myself to be claimed, I was given information. The other reason is if things had gone slightly differently in The Grid, I would have been claimed by the Devil while Infiltrating. Once you're claimed by a Trump none of the others can try to claim you. This way, I was able to choose who's mark I'd carry, while I was myself.

It's not the name, exactly. It's what it means. I'm the Devil herself - it tends to have an effect on people.

[ She sounds, at least, more amused by it than bothered. ]

And here I didn't even get anything in exchange for being Marked. I feel... somewhat taken advantage of.

That happens a lot when people are marked while Infiltrating. It's part of why I did what I did. I'm sorry that it happened to you so quickly.

In any case, I don't think the Trump is connected to me at all. They're just claiming the name, and I'll have to take that up with them when I get the chance.

Or maybe they're a Devil from a different world? Just like I'm pretty sure the angels Alcuin know don't exist in my world, and God is different in his world.

Hmm. Perhaps. But given the other Trumps, I think it's more likely it's simply a name they've taken to keep the theme.

Maybe! It's hard to tell, since no one knows what they really are, or even it they're operating in a parellel world or a higher world that Liminal Space exists within.
