Man, the Trumps sure know how to throw a welcome-back party. Too bad there's probably no deaf, dumb and blind kids around, I hear they play a mean pinball.

So. That was an unpleasant little side quest, don't recommend it, don't wanna talk about it. How far along are we from the Grid? What'd I miss?

Also, FYI, as soon as I can work out how I'm willing to make lightcycles for anyone who missed out. Still a work in progress, though, so don't all come running at once.

To be fair, it doesn't usually come with hamster balls of doom.

Rat balls, rather. Let's be accurate.

It's not like they're real rats or anything. It's not gonna hurt their feelings. Besides, that kind of ball is usually used for hamsters.

I wasn't aware that hamsters required tedious puzzles to solve.

But enough about that. What are lightcycles? I'm sure you don't mean a planet's day and night cycle, unless you're talking about construction on a rather larger scale than I thought anyone here was capable of.

Puzzles? No, that's probably a Trump special just to drive us crazy.

They're kind of like motorcycles, if you've come across those, but they're completely digital in nature. Fold up into a neat little baton when you're not using them. You must've missed the Grid if it doesn't ring a bell.

No, we have those on my planet. Float bikes are a bit more popular for those who can afford it, but they've never really been my style.

And I wasn't in the Grid, no. My first Jaunt was Purgatory.

I'm willing to bet the lightcycles were a popular grab, but it turns out they're hard as hell to make when you're not inside a computer. I think I can get there sooner or later, though. [She's built stranger things in less time! It's just a question of getting them to work properly.]

If you got here for Purgatory... Kanji said that was the one after the Grid, so I guess we just missed each other. I managed to spend a couple jaunts' worth stuck in shiny gold nonsense.
