Really, Adachi doesn't even realize he's doing it at first, but there's just a steady stream of utter panic, constant mutterings of no no no no no no no over and over again, before he finally realizes what he's doing.]

Ugh, I guess the only thing I can really do is try and keep this from blowing up too far.

If she's at all reasonable, I don't think you have anything to worry about so long as matters don't escalate.
