I don't just mean the whole 'bein' shoved around by guards' kind of problem. But I ain't seen a whole lot of familiar faces yet... and I think I know why. Been doin' some pokin' around - Champion thing, long story - and there's a whole load of people who ain't even in this world with us.

I don't mean Infiltrating. I mean they ain't here at all.

Dunno what you think, but if they're somewhere else... is this like that last time? When a bunch of folks never made it to Questing Country?

[There's a worried pause here. If this means what it might mean...]

Right. On what's going on... Sounds like this city's called Misericordia - did I get that right? Heard something about folks looking for a dragon... dunno how you'd hide a dragon, I figured they were kinda ...big and fiery and all that crap.

...But. I also heard someone say somethin' about Dolorosa? As in, gryphons and Color Magic Dolorosa?

I'm ... there?

...A-anyway. If anyone's out there, or anyone knows what's goin' on better than I do... 'cause seriously, I ain't got a clue... let us know, okay?

I can do portals if we need them. I actually spent most of Nova Venezia overnighting in Liminal Space - wasn't very comfortable without the workshop, but it worked.

Thanks. I know our accommodations here aren’t the greatest, so that’ll make a nice alternative for folks.

Liminal's a crapshoot from day to day, but it's free and it's more or less safe. We'll get the same thing every day if we bunk out here, but I don't know if it's a thing many of us will want to take a chance on.

I was infiltrating last time - did you guys go back to the same Liminal Space as everyone else, or was it completely separate?

We'll have to see what develops. But...no, last time this sort of thing happened we were totally separated. No brainlink, no liminal, we were left on our own. At least now there's more outside resources, we were in more of a siege situation before.

Well, that's annoying. No way to check on everyone else and see what fresh hell they got dumped into. [It occurs to him that must've been especially rough on the first group, which was on the small side from what he'd gathered - at least this time there's precedent.]

That's true. And I think there's a few of our own out there, so that'll help a little too.

It's... interesting, when you put it that way. It'd seem like there's no reason for infiltrating, except there is - it gives us a way to find out what's going on in the first place. Who do you even approach if no one looks like your friends?

Last time we were conveniently in a siege situation, but eventually got confronted by Mina and Perry. I think they're both here again, but that makes sense since they were both in Dolorosa.

...we really need to figure out who these people are.

...But Mina was in Questing Country.

Then again, dreamscape, I guess she could've been in two places at once. We'll have to ask if it happened again this time. That'd be more interesting.

Too bad Naoto's not here. She'd probably Sift them and see if she could figure anything out.

Yeah, that would be an interesting line to pursue.

Though actually...there might be someone else who can Sift. I'll have to see if they're up for it but we may be able to pull it off, especially if I can Assist.

You'll probably have to make sure you get the parameters for it sorted out before you try, but it's worth a shot. If you think you'll need a second Assist, let me know.

Right, thanks, and... I certainly will, assuming we can get our hands on one of them. Do you think searching for their connection to the Trumps would be adequate or should it be more refined than that?

Their connection to the Trumps, any patterns we're aware of in who shows up where doing what...

This is really more Naoto's skill set than mine, but that's at least a place to start. And if you don't get a chance, we can bat the idea around whenever this thing ends, and then everyone who can Sift will have a better idea of what to look out for.
