We have a slight problem, guys. You know that dragon-hunt meeting at the beginning of the week?

The dragon organised it. I've bumped into the kid who knows that actual person a couple times, and she said she spotted the difference right away. It's probably too late to do much with that information, but I'm almost certain it tried to focus people on the Magicians' Quarter on purpose.

I'd bet it's anywhere but there, and I bet it won't be there much in the next few weeks.

I think she would be most interested to meet you. But you needn't rush. I believe I have a lead - I'll seek her out, never fear. She promised me an introduction to her mentor.

In that case I'm definitely coming. I'll bring Lady along, can't be too hard to spot an army of kittens.

[somehow he sounds tired and distracted.]

I need to make sure she is all right. He is. He is jealous. Of Green. But I am not his puppet yet. I won't let him harm her.

[ yet. or again. he remembers the alley, and he's arranging Lady's tack even as he speaks. ]

And I won't let Green draw him out more. You need a buffer. I am coming to help you, get to the bottom of this, and hopefully nip it in the bud.

Be careful. He does not like it when you intervene. But I can't leave her out there alone. Not without checking that it is true what we fear.
