[Jaunt]Does anybody see what I see?

Hey, I got a question. Well, more of an issue, really.

Is anyone else seeing things?

A lot of the officers over on the Empress are rabbity, and not just officers - and now I've started seeing things too. But only with the clockwork eye. I was kinda hoping someone could check it out for me. I can do my own repairs in theory, but I could use a second pair of eyes. Or one full pair of eyes, if you get me.

Can anyone on the Corona even hear this?

On Nibiru... during the walkabout. There was a room with... pictures? Com-computers?

[While she always sounds tentative on the network, here she sounds moreso than usual; she's clearly not all that familiar, or comfortable, with the terminology even now.]

There were pictures of winged people made of flame on them.

There - there was a Jaunt there before. Ambrose and Alcuin said they had to dance to bring winter.

[She still doesn't understand how that would even work, and she's not sure this man will care about that particular objective, so she leaves that thought there for now.]

On the walkabout, we found strange devices. A lot of them looked too big for humans. I think they were probably theirs? I think...

[She pauses briefly, trying to remember more. Her unfamiliarity with technology in general still hampers her greatly, and she'd been too new then to properly take it all in anyway.]

...Star-movers? I think they were called Star-movers.

I... don't know why they have that name. The devices there looked like they were designed for someone at least twice the size of a human, if that helps? How tall was the one you saw?

[Not for the first time, she feels frustrated at her relative lack of knowledge. There are so many people who'd be better equipped to impart this information...]

Oh - um, Ambrose, Daneel, Riddick, Armin... Liara.

[Liara who is there and herself and much more knowledgeable about these sorts of things than Cassandra is. Liara who had, in fact, asked the question that had led to this discussion. Cassandra feels stupid. Again.]

I'm sorry.

...No.

[She can't help but sound horrified at the very idea.]
fearinahandfulof: (Huh?)

I... guess?

[She still wishes she could actually be more helpful, though.]

[Flutter... budget?]

Cassandra. My name's Cassandra.

[She should have thought to tell him that, too.]

[Cassandra's first impulse is to ask, "You are?" But it occurs to her that he might take that as her not believing that's his name, when she has no reason to disbelieve that at all. And even if he didn't think she was talking about his name, she doubts he'd appreciate any implication, no matter how unintentional, that he's lying.]

It's - it's nice to meet you, too.
