Okay.

This looks pretty weird for a Jaunt, huh? I don't see most of the people I expected to, or anyone native. It's almost like we were shipwrecked without a ship, right?

Anyway, this kinda thing usually goes badly pretty fast in books and movies, so I think we should get organized early. Everyone who can hear me, let's please gather up and figure out who's here, what we can do, and what we're supposed to be doing. I haven't seen any natives or people acting like natives at all, so I don't think we have to worry about being suspicious.

The first thing I think we want to worry about is who's here and what we know how to do. I've never even been so much as camping, but I do know how to coordinate people when we're exploring. Got all kinds of magic stuff to do things like mapping, detecting monsters (which'll probably work on like, animals too), giving information to and from people really fast, and uh, literally helping anyone with anything. I don't totally understand the how on that last one, but basically anything you can do I can figure out a way to help.

Oh, and if we can't find food or water easily, I can turn into a Synthetic and save a little bit of that.

So yeah, sorry this isn't the most professional thing, but I think we should all check in and coordinate stuff here, so we can figure out what we're going to do...

[Raidou doesn't speak up immediately. As much as he knows this sort of information is necessary, his first instinct is always going to be to keep his powers hidden. Eventually, he has to force himself to speak up, and when he does, it's with a distinctly mechanical air.]

I've... kept a number of skills from various Jaunts. Questing Sense. Ritual magic, if scrying ever becomes necessary. A wraithwolf transformation and some of the skills inherent to it. My Sithen form retains its flight capability. I still have access to Siren Magic, should things come to that. I can jury-rig some technology and I retained wood elementalism from the last Jaunt. I'm an accurate shot. I have a handful of additional transformations and access to healing skills.

And... summons.

[He still can't bring himself to say the word "demons" around these people - and not just because he knows certain parties are liable to go into hysterics upon hearing the word. Nor can he bring himself to go into detail. It's not how he was trained.]

[That's quite a list of seemingly-useful skills. There's a sense of being impressed coming from Natsumi's end of the network...and also some very strong curiosity as well.]

Questing Sense? How does that work, if you don't mind explaining...?

I'm not sure how best to explain it. It... pulls you towards some person or destination that needs your attention - sometimes very insistently. You're left to figure out why for yourself, though. At least, that's been my experience with it thus far.

So, it's like a mental notification that something important needs to be discovered or done?

What can Siren Magic and your summons do?

Siren Magic varies based on the Song. It can enable people to breathe underwater, alter their moods, put them to sleep, strengthen or weaken them, help them navigate unfamiliar areas... It really depends.

Summons... also vary, based on the skills they possess. Some are geared towards combat, others towards healing. Most of them have at least some skills that are useful in a more investigatory context, such as illuminating dark areas and finding hidden objects. All of them are capable of functioning autonomously.

I'll be careful, though. Really, it just...sounds like a big step up in the abilities I already have, especially the navigation or strengthening ones. Those sound like exactly what I try to do for people already.

[That question is not really helping her case. Unless it's a joke, in which case it's... still not helping her case because for all Raidou knows, she's from a world where that actually does happen. Which is not impossible: case in point, this entire subject.]

Uh...no. More habit-forming than addictive, I guess.

What kind of withdrawal symptoms?

From what my overlay remembers, addicted Sirens mostly didn't eat or sleep, and were worn down accordingly. The majority of the effects were more mental: They were depressed and listless, but at the same time emotionally volatile, and they were highly suggestible.

Do you happen to have any non oversized dragons who could scout out this place without freaking out any locals that might be hiding away somewhere?

I have a non-oversized non-dragon who could scout, but she dislikes humans on general principle. And she is herself obviously nonhuman, which could present a problem if any remaining locals are able to see her.

[That and she has a distressing tendency to get lost and then make life miserable for anyone she happens to stumble across along the way. Raidou is very fond of Moh Shuvuu, but he'd be lying if he said she was always easy to work with.]

Most humans in my world can't see them, unless they happen to have some sort of spiritual sensitivity. That seems to be the case in several of the other worlds we've visited as well, but it's by no means consistent.

...Okay. Then maybe you can send the skyscraper of a dragon scouting.
