[The tirade continues with more creative swearing and cursing, even slipping into different languages a time or two, for a solid minute more. But eventually Pod runs out of steam, and there's a moment of silence before she addresses the network with more calm.]

So do these Trumps mock everyone with their overlays or am I just that unlucky?

[Nothing like a little homesickness, but maybe talking about it will be better.]

Mostly it was Kelnethi, but I've picked up quite a bit of Yerrin and Cassorin cursing in my time.

They remind us a little of some languages we know, but they're definitely not the same.

What languages do they remind you of?

[Pod is genuinely curious. After all, even when people have different names for things, sometimes those things are really the same, or nearly so, underneath the name.]

One of them reminds us of Celtic languages. Scottish, Irish, that family. Another one is a bit like French. Something of the sounds, the syllables is similar, even if the construction is strange and we cannot parse the meaning without the psychic network translating for us.

I'm afraid I don't know any of those, but if the gods go by different names in different places, why not languages and people? Being from a different world might make the hard to understand accents impossible to understand instead.

[It makes sense to her, anyway, and is a very welcome distraction to think about.]
