I don't know about the Ace of Spades, but it sounds like a card. Don't recognize the suit, though, that one's not in a sabacc deck.

Why would they care about a card?

Probably not the physical object they care about, you know? It might be a symbol or part of a message or something - in covert ops, you agree on codes like that ahead of time, so you can talk about things without drawing undue attention.

Though if the police here already know what this one means, somebody should probably think about coming up with a new code.

We don't know what we're investigating yet. The first part of it is always finding out what's important to the infiltrators... which means getting them to trust you.

The infiltrators are the ones who do not recall where we have come from, then. I gather that you have done this before. What do they believe, if they don't remember their true selves?

The other thing to do is watch for Familiar Faces, but you don't know any of them yet, right?

Anyway, how do we figure out what it means? I'm no good at things like that.

There are people we see in more than one world who aren't Travelers. They're not on the network, they're never in Liminal Space, and if they have weird powers it's only in world where that's normal.

We may not know it, but someone in here probably does. We just have to figure out how to get them to tell us.

Never liked the commando stuff as much, myself, but just because you'd rather have a problem you can just fly in and shoot at a lot doesn't mean you get one.

Blending in's the first part of doing this stuff right, but it helps to know something about what you're trying to blend in with, first, and we're not in a great place to figure that out, unless someone here has an idea already.
