Hello new Travelers, and not-as-new ones I haven't met yet, looks like the Trumps have a new mission for us. If you can hear me, you're an Investigator and that means exactly what you'd think: we're gonna be putting our heads together to help solve some problem in this world. Thankfully that putting-our-heads-together bit's pretty easy because of this nifty telepathic thingy-- don't worry, no one can hear your thoughts if you don't want them to, but if you need help or find out stuff you think is important please share with the rest of the class.

[ it's funny because they're in a school, see. ]

You might have friends here, other Travelers, who don't remember you and think they've lived all their lives in this world. We call them Infiltrators and usually they're good sources of info, so try and blend in and stay close with them. That shouldn't be too hard since the folks here seem to have been expecting us, or a group like us and good Glinda can we please have every Jaunt start like this?

Ah... meanwhile let's try and coordinate and see who's still with us. My name's Ambrose, by the way, I'm that guy with the zipper on his head.

[ There's a mental pause. Mostly since Inigo is feeling on top of his own head, but of course he doesn't feel anything other than hair.. so now he's trying to figure out why someone would have something metal up there. Because metal strip is something he recognizes, although--

I don't mean to be rude, but has anyone ever told you that you might want to reconsider your choice in helmets? I'm sure it is fashionable, but I doubt it will truly block any weapon's strike, considering they are usually far bigger than a mere strip! [ Not what zippers are meant for, but.. good try, right....

Besides, he's pretty sure walking around in this weird-looking place with a helmet is probably weird. The people here sure aren't wearing helmets. Must not be really scared. ]

[ funny story: Ambrose once to a wrench blow to the back of the head and was able to easily walk away without getting knocked out. or indeed killed. maybe the zipper is extra-protective or his canon's writers were morons. ]

Ah, no it's... not really supposed to be a helmet, but thanks for the concern! Are helmets something folks generally need where you're from?

Yeah. [ ... although.. give him a moment to think about this, he's about to undermine his own point. This is pretty much Inigo's speciality, you see, setting himself up for foot in mouth moments. ]

Although I never wear one! [ See, there we go. ] But a lot of other warriors do. For good reason, truly, since I can tell you from experience that getting hit on the head by anything at all isn't a generally pleasant experience.

[ ... ] Although it does seem we might not have to fear many objects falling at us from above here?

[ Aka it doesn't really seem like a place where there'd suddenly be warriors from his time period storming in. ]

So far it doesn't look like it, no. [ though that could change at any moment maybe, who even knows. ]

Mercenary by profession, indeed! [ More.. or less.. but he feels a little more comfortable introducing himself that way nowadays. He and Lucina made way for the versions of them in the good timeline to grow up well, so he's not sure if he should even truly consider him a prince anymore. Might as well leave it out. ]

Mostly when it comes down to beautiful ladies, you see. There is no better reward than a kiss!

Of course! I would not be a very good warrior if I wasn't. [ And to Inigo's credit, he doesn't just save girls.. he just likes to pretend he does since it looks cooler in his weird perception of the world. ] So if you ever require aid, then just let me know. Although I still am not quite sure if you would need anything of the sort in this place.

[ The school doesn't exactly look like the kind of place that'd be stormed by bandits. Everything looks too.. different compared to his own world for that. ]

Maybe not here, but sometime in the future... well, needing to be rescued is an occasional hobby of mine. And a lot of Travelers. How shall I call upon you in my hour of need?

[ because they'd done that introduction-skipping thing again. ]

[ Especially with the telepathic network like they're using right now.. it's a little strange to him still, but even Inigo has to admit it's pretty convenient. If someone's in a tough situation, they could easily just ask people to help them like this. ]

[ Which is more or less what he's been trying to stick by all his life, doing the dirty or embarrassing stuff so others don't have to - even if he wouldn't suggest it by the way he laughs. ]
