[Open to Investigators]
[Everyone might have heard... something trying to come through from Adachi yesterday morning after the party, but it was garbled and hard to hear, like he was talking through water. It's not until the next day that he actually manages to get something through.]
Man, it's hard to talk like this when you're hung over...
[He let out an embarrassed noise, before continuing.]
So, if you guys don't mind humoring me, gimme a sec to make sure I've got all this right:
Cultures and Humanities want to promote social law, and I'm guessing cultural acceptance so we all can work better together toward a brighter future.
Ecological Sciences wants to create some mutant plant to help restore the earth.
And the Tech group wants to build something that flies... I guess so it'd be easier to extend the school's reach.
[There's a pause.]
...am I the only one that thinks they shouldn't be fighting over who gets the big check?

[And you got protag status?]
But you do have a point.
no subject
[Damn right he got protag status.]
Glad to hear you agree though.

I know it's stupid to think that everyone can get along but in honesty I feel like there's a limit if it's just one area. Like you said, all three are important but trying to figure out how to include them all is going to be tough.

[He sighed.]
And yeah, divvying it fairly so all groups can be successful would be difficult. And let's be real, not everyone is going to want to work together.

If we're going to do this, we need a plan and a place to meet.

All three of these departments need each other in order to make their goals. Favoring any one over the other is just going to make things difficult, if not impossible.

[His mental voice seems tired, though it may be partly due to the subject matter and not true mental fatigue. Still, it shows.]
I have never been to a University, so I don't know how it works... otherwise I might ask if it were possible to evenly distribute the money.

[Ugh, this whole Jaunt was giving him flash backs of him cooped up his in his room with thick volumes of text surrounding him... taking notes upon notes... the memory of teachers smacking their rules against his desk as he struggled to stay awake after a particularly grueling study session...]
[Okay, so maybe his memories were a bit exaggerated and influenced by anime. It didn't change how horrible it was.]
But yeah; it's in human nature to be greedy, but that's why we got a C&H department, right? They can promote cultural understanding and law, but also acceptance and working together.

[Souji knows more about this sort of thing than he'd really like to, to be honest]
no subject
[He just blows it all anyway.]
And even if it is only enough money for one project, why shouldn't these guys be working together one one project that meets all their goals?

[He only wished he never had to worry about funds.]
But... for show? Why d'you think that?
no subject
And because if it was for show, there would be more pageantry, and fewer concerns about their public house being shut down to afford the prize.
no subject
[SIGH]
But no, I don't think it's for show. It is something serious; we all saw it when we ended up on this place. I still don't think they should be competing against each other for it though.

Direct revolt against the Trumps, as he understands, got everyone stranded. But willful stupidity might be worth a try. ]
Well, then. There's your rallying point. Sort out some solution that involves preserving that, and from there persuade all factions to work together.
