A day or two into the Royal Audiences Mingle
Greetings, all. I find myself terribly short of funds of late, as I'm sure others are. Defrauding honest shopkeepers out of their hard-earned profits isn't something I wish to keep doing, but I've hit upon an idea that may work to keep several of us in the necessary funds for our various endeavors and be a pleasant diversion as well.
A temporary outdoor theater. Officially, most of the profits would go to a charity--to make the watchers all the more generous--but as we can create stage and sets and costumes with little to no cost to ourselves, we can benefit quite handily. I cannot, however, undertake this idea entirely on my own.
Is there anyone who wishes to try their hand at being an actor, stagehand, or costumer along with me? My initial idea was to put on Shakespeare's works, as I am most familiar with them in original style, but I will entertain suggestions for other playwrights as well. Do contact me if you are interested.
[There's a bit of a pause and then his mental voice shows up again.]
Given the circumstances, my outing is all but inevitable, and I tire of juggling three roles in three different scripts at once. If I am brought to trial for breaking the laws, it cannot be said that I didn't make the attempt to be discreet.
I'll be blunt. My name is Tybalt, although I've gone by Rand with a few of you under human disguise, and I am Cait Sidhe. For those without the requisite knowledge of human folklore to place the name, that means I am Fae and also a cat. If you see a brown and black tabby with striking green eyes wandering about the streets of Newport, that cat has a good chance of being me.

And I'd be willing to try my hand at one of the roles. Which play were you thinking?
I'm kind of out of a job anyway, right now.

[Yes, he does mean the 17th century.]
And might as well be ambitious, while we're undertaking this project. I have his works memorized myself, including the sonnets and his other poetry, so I had thought that multiple plays could be undertaken, while we warm up the audience before the show with recitations. A particularly small company might require multiple roles for all of us, though, so if it is more feasible, we can simply repeat performances of just one. I am terribly tempted to make an unsubtle statement against the Manticore with this endeavor, I must admit.

I'm thinking that I'm probably only good for memorizing one play, sorry.

Then one play it will have to be. Do you have a particular favorite? Although, I’m thinking something that pokes at the Manticore will be the most… enlightening.
