Do not attempt to tangle with him. While his actual powers are much less than people have been led to believe, he is crafty, and an excellent pistol shot. I will be taking him out myself after removing a few things from his apartment.

Thorne-san, Malik-san, Tim-san, Zed-san, my most sincere apologies.

They know we are here, but they are mostly unaware of who we are or what we do.

Once I have taken a few moments, I will be back and see what I can do.

[When he gets to Aiya, she's sitting on the floor in a corner, knees pulled up to her chest, staring out across the room, shaking slightly.]

[He's absolutely sprinting across the room as he spots her, diving in to sit next to her.]

[She just attaches to him, clinging tightly. After a moment, she starts crying into his shoulder, unable to really conceptualize words at this particular time.]

Good, good, you're out of there, that means I can show him what it means to be afraid of the dark.

[He wraps an arm around her right back, heart pounding.]

[It's a while before she calms down. When she does, she sits up a bit, taking a few breaths, and shakes her head.]

His powers are heightened senses. Unlike what most believe, he is no telepath. If you have any way to confuse natural senses, that would be quite useful.

[She looks down at her hands for a moment.]

What do you do when you've become what you work against?

[Kanji closes his eyes for a moment. So's mine, he doesn't say, the thought as cold as it had been once the mission was done.

[She swallows, almost crying again, and shakes her head.]

[There's a long pause before she speaks again.]

I'm going to take his laptop. He has a lot of information on how he saw Infiltration from the outside. It is... quite interesting. I can also keep him from doing this to anyone else.

Humans don't always do well in the sorts of darkness I can call up...I can mess with him easily enough.

[She takes a shaky breath, voice tiny.]

Kanji... could you make me some sushi? I'd do it myself, but I never seem to pick up those abilities.

Magnus will be relieved to know you've returned to us, Lady Shirogane. He's been increasingly worried. Shall I go fetch him for you?

[He can guess what those apologies mean, and cats can be great comforts in times of stress.]

Excellent. And now that he is without any resistance to darkness I might have provided him... it will not go well for him.

Sure. Lemme see... [Which ones does she like again? Ah, this should do it... there's a platter full of assorted rolls and nigiri pieces popping up soon enough. Honestly, he could use something to eat himself after this shock...] How's this?

[Using the shadows to go into Mako's apartment and portal himself and cat back into liminal is a great plan that couldn't go wrong at all, right?]

I am, yes. I'm in Kanji's restaurant for now. Magnus has certainly been quite the comfort in the small time he's been with me. I am quite glad that he came home with me.

[Mako is, thankfully, out at the moment, so the cat acquisition goes off without a hitch. It's probably for the best.]

One day, I'll figure out how to do that.

[She actually manages a smile at that, reaching out and taking one of the rolls. Mmm.]
