So. I want to put something on offer for people.

I never intended to be the only person here who can do lightcycles, and I don't want to be, either. On the off chance I disappear or there's more demand than I can handle myself, someone else should be able to pick up the slack, and some of you might just plain want to know how to do the thing outside of the Grid.

And now that there's more computers around, between Belljar and Newport, I can let other people know how to do the thing. Aside from powering them up after you're done, computers are the hardest piece of the puzzle to account for, so. If anyone wants to know how to do the thing, my door's pretty much always open.

On a related note, if anyone wants me to make them a lightcycle, first three to ask get one before the next jaunt starts. And if anyone was holding out for a fancy tattoo, I think I can squeeze one more of those in, but I don't want to promise more than that and leave someone with half-done work in a jaunt.

A control panel's not nearly enough code to swipe from.

Worst case, I can build you something - it's just that if I offered to do that for people on top of everything else, I really wouldn't have time to do anything else between jaunts.

I would like that, Senpai. Also, between us, we might be able to come up with some mechanical way to power them. Perhaps a way to divert your electrical gunfire to the cycle.

I already have something along those lines, but a backup can't hurt. Leo has a Starmover doohickey that does the job too, but... again, bottlenecks aren't a good thing.

Got a laptop from Newport myself, so... I'm gonna have to bug ya for chargin', probably, but I can help ya out with orders now for sure. Heh - kinda lookin' forward to giving it a go.

I can help. Got most of the skills left over from the Grid and bein' a Crypto. You wanna met up back at my forge? It's bigger now.

Sorta. You need a computer to swipe code from and a couple of tricks from the Grid, but those are easy enough to pass along to interested parties. Actual computers are just a little harder to come by.

I'll see what I can do about the computer bit. The Grid was before my time though, so you'll have to fill me in on that.

No but that sounds like it's something that could be pretty useful in general.

That's better taught in person, so you'll have to come find me at some point. It is damn useful in general, though - good way to get information off a computer if you're in a hurry. Or you can use it to pass stuff from person to person, but that's a hell of a lot more taxing off the Grid than it was while we were there.

Depends on the tattoo. What they all do is redirect energy from one part of your body to another, so one thing gets stronger but there's always some kind of drawback. That can be anything from increased metabolism to being extra-warm or cold all the time to decreased physical strength or agility. I can't put energy in from the outside.

And I know you didn't say this specifically, but it bears repeating for noobs - I will not try to mess with Trump marks. Pretty sure I couldn't anyway, and I don't want to be on the receiving end when poking one blows up in my face.

That sounds convenient, even if a drawback is a bit worrying. Though I guess getting something powered up has to has its price.

I wouldn't even ask anyone to poke at a Trump mark because it sounds dangerous. Though I've been lucky enough to avoid one.

It's how this kind of thing tends to work, so.
