[JAUNT] Check-in
... let us get this over with so we can return to Liminal Space. This place is unpleasant.
Leonardo da Vinci, present. Known infiltrators: Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Known missing: Genevieve Blanchard and Zed. I... cannot sense them through our Bond. They were likely sent on a Walkabout.
For anyone who does not know about radiation and is near an area expected to get to 150 rads or more - get out of there immediately. Such radiation levels might cause adverse effects on your body, unless you have the proper protection. Find a safer place. I might be able to distribute suits from the Ivory Tower to combat the radiation, but I do not know how much they would stand out. Still, it might be worth the risk so that we are not harmed in the process.
[How about that, the Ivory Tower was useful after all.]
Please list any confirmed infiltrators and any confirmed missing persons so we are more aware of our current numbers.

So "radiation" is bad then? People are talking about it like it's some kind of weather but the sky's clear. What does it look like? Oh, but if anyone ends up needing to be out in it I can go. I, uh. I can heal myself.
Also I... Kind of have a problem. [He sounds rather awkward and embarrassed.] I guess I picked up that animal disease from my friend. Triggered it accidentally trying to dodge some kind of damn fire snake, and someone saw me before I could figure out how to make it go away. You think I could get away with going back to normal and no one noticing, or am I stuck like this for the whole damn Jaunt now?
no subject
And you can't see it, that's part of why it's so dangerous.
[He's not going to comment on the animal parts; he's accidentally passing his spirit animal off as his son. He cannot judge.]
no subject
Wait so you can't see it and there's nothing with the sky or whatever that warns you it's coming? How can you even tell it's there?
And I told you, I can heal. My arm's been bitten off and it grew back. I'll be fine.
no subject
[Which is not entirely true, but good enough.]
You can't see it, but there's equipment that can detect it. That's how they know--it'll invisibly make you sick. And it will make other people around you sick with what you drag back, regardless of whether or not you get hurt.
I'm immortal, and I'm not messing around with this.
no subject
Hmph. There's no such thing as an immortal. Even vampires can be killed.
If you would've listened, I said I could do it if someone needed to go out in it. If something happens there might not be time to go find a suit and it'd be better for me to go than someone that can't heal the way I can!
...But, uh. If it's invisible and sticks everywhere, how can I tell when I've gotten it all off so I don't make my friends sick? [That grumpy, cocky edge edge to his voice vanishes for that last part. Seems he might not worry about himself but he is genuinely worried about the people around him.]
no subject
[Look, Hajime just wanted to make sure you knew the risks of going out in it, kid. He's satisfied that at least some of that got through.]
You'd have to check yourself with the same equipment that detects it in the first place, but I don't really know much about the decontamination process.
no subject
[Hey Eren might be impulsive and reckless but he's not stupid.]
Shit! So what, we're supposed to just hope we don't get the other group sick when we get back to Liminal Space? [Because he's convinced there's another group this time, because he hadn't been able to find Mikasa and her being truly gone wasn't something he'd let himself consider.]
no subject
[So there.]
It's possible the Trumps might de-contaminate us when we get back. They wouldn't want to make all their little toys sick, I'd hope.
[Yet he still sounds troubled.]
Or we could de-contaminate here if we get off of this planet.
no subject
[Hajime at some point you're gonna get yourself killed and Eren's just going to say "I told you so."]
I'm nobody's toy! And we can't count on that, not with everyone's lives on the line! So how would we decontaminate here? More technology crap?
no subject
[Though he was reincarnated, somehow...so...there was that. Not that Hajime's going to think too hard on it.]
Yeah, you're preaching to the choir with that one, but what we think and what the Trumps think are probably two different things.
They might have some sci-fi decontaminator thing, I don't know how it works here. But I think there would be some kind of special wash or something you'd use to get it off and neutralize the radiation.
[He should have paid more attention in science class.]
no subject
[Wow Hajime, Eren's world doesn't even have sciences classes. What's your excuse for not paying attention in them?]
I'll just have to ask around once we get out of here.
no subject
[General lack of realizing this stuff might actually come in handy in his daily life outside of chemistry applied to food preparation, really...]
One of the science types will probably have something figured out by the time we all go back.
no subject
Okay, good. I can regenerate but my friends can't.
no subject
[Do as he says, not as he does...]
no subject
I am unsure the best course of action, there. It may make sense to keep your animal forms, if only so that you might pretend you are not connected with us should something happen. But that is your judgment call, not mine.
no subject
[Too bad he was kind of distracted for half the conversation before he said anything and missed that description, and can't retrieve things already said. Eren will just assume it does really bad shit.]
[He groans.] Yeah, I guess that'd be the smart thing to do. Dammit, this'll be a pain the ass. [Figuratively and literally. He quickly found out that sitting on his tail hurts.]
