Early-mid Week 2/3
It might be time to start considering working on the buddy system.
I've been looking into the disappearing locals, and a few things stand out: they all vanished suddenly, they all vanished from near the shore, and the last time any of them were seen was just before our nightly monster serenade.
I don't know whether it's driving something out of the water to snatch people or luring people in, but either way, wandering around alone seems like a damn good way to wind up on the missing persons list.

[ANd she's already pretty fast]
ANd has a hard time with the concept of dangerous.

Well. If they're still alive, that is.

Is there any particular kind of objects that'd work best?

I found the body buried in the wet sand. He was stabbed in the back of the neck and weighed down with two cannonballs. The other missing people are... the trails lead out to sea.
[ He neglects to mention that it's blood, and also that he can sense it even as the tide washes it away from sight and smell. However, this too will vanish eventually. ]
Now I ask: Should we tell the Captain?

[There's a hint of incredulity there. Hiding the information would be of little benefit - and that's being generous.]
What trails?
no subject
The trails are likely blood, but the tide has washed them away. That is all I have on those. Professor Lyall has seen the body as well, and he has the benefit of being a man of science.

And if the trails were washed away, how did you find them?
