I want my Scimitars. :[

I would like to request help in creating some ordinary, nonmagical scimitars in Liminal Space. If we are to engage in any sort of battle, I wish to have the weapons most familiar to my hands, regardless of their appropriateness in the setting, to lessen the risk of me inadvertently harming one of the Stricken with lethal force.

Hm...I haven't tried making a sword before, but it can't possibly be more difficult than a rifle. Meet me in Liminal Space to try them on and I'll see what I can do.

Hello, the Workshop! I come bearing swords! Or, well, the idea of swords.

[Drizt is standing in the main portion of the workshop when she appears, and he can't help but grin when she makes a bit of a flashy entrance.]

[He's got his sword belt on, which hilariously leaves his scimitars not too far off the ground.]

[She looks at how his normal scimitars are hanging. His normal elf body might not be as tall as his January elf body, but there's still a pretty big difference.]

I think we might want to take some measurements first...

[She pulls a tailor's tape measure out of nowhere.]

About how long should a scimitar be relative to your height? Or is it arm length for swords?

[Drizzt pauses for a moment, then chuckles warmly and shakes his head.]

I do appreciate your consideration, but even when I was smaller, I only used the full sized weapons. Although my armor is a different matter entirely.

Yes, but they are far too flashy for this place. The last thing I need is to fight someone who wishes to steal them for their gems.

They are also magical, and one has a tendency to glow when there is danger. ... although in this case, that might be useful.

What kind of magic? [The question comes with a feeling that is half excitement and half trepidation.]

[A bit of a chuckle.]

One glows blue when there is danger. The other has properties that protect me from fire and extinguish it. The second is particularly bad news for fire demons.

Oh. All it does is glow? That's useful, I guess. [That's not as exciting as he had been expecting - but it's not alarming either.] What's a fire demon?

Very useful. I know how close the danger is by how strongly it glows. [Alarming isn't good, no.] Well, that's not the proper term of it... but it banishes evil demons with fire characteristics back to their planes fairly well. They walk our plane of existence sometimes, you see. Perhaps sometime I could tell you a story about one of my adventures facing one.
