Now that I can have everyone's attention, a little good news.

Since Jules and I both needed the occasional break from the Bronze Age, I'm proud to announce Liminal Intranet is now up and running. Even I'm not good enough to hook it up to proper Internet, as that would involve punching dimensional holes that are probably beyond our reach, but it should at least be a boon to Project Infopool.

Servers are in my rooms, so they won't be going anywhere even if I do. You'll have to provide your own computers, though.

Occasional attempts to collect information on where we've been, since sometimes it turns out to be where we're going and having that edge can prevent total clusterfucks.

Wouldn't have helped much just now, from what I know, but. One of the big problems up until people got rooms staying put was having the stuff accessible no matter who's infiltrating, and then you have people who'd rather use or Interface a computer than read a book. Besides, redundant copies are never actually redundant.

In other words, you are providing a database we can refer to should it turn out we make a return to a familiar Jaunt location. That is rather useful. Does it function purely like normal internet, or could it theoretically record some of our transmissions as well?

What, like hooking it up to the network? That's a few steps beyond even my programming-fu.

Not to say people can't make the attempt, but the network looks after itself pretty well.

Fair enough. Simply having a central database for us to share our own notes is sufficient. Although I suppose inevitably people will find... other uses for it.

[Well, honestly, he's just wondering if there's such a thing as an interdimensional bug guide, but he knows dang well what those other uses are. He's polite. He's not naive.]
