[Even for those who can't perceive tone over the network, it should be pretty clear that this can only be little Rose. Eventually an adult voice joins in.]

Sorry... Zoe... we can't find her. I don't think she's still... I thought it was just my overlay but now neither of us can find her on the network. I don't want to cut Rose off when it's her only way to talk to me.

A visit's worth a shot. I'm open to just about any suggestion right now, she's so upset...

[Jolie only vaguely remembers the baby's mom, the tall black woman, but she clearly remembers Wash and Rose.]

Is there... um. Is there anything we can do? Or I can do, I guess? I've baby sat my little brother before, though it's been a long time since he was that little, I still probably remember how....

[Not that a short blonde girl would fool Rose, of course. But... she has to offer something.]

So far I've just been holding her and telling her I'm still here. Maybe if you have some stories or songs, that might help distract her. We have a bunch of books...

How... would you feel about letting her ride on a pegasus? I can make it completely safe with my skills and it would likely be very fun for her. Anastasia is very gentle.

I've actually wished I could take her flying, when we've been Travelling.

If you can make it safe, that might be different enough to distract her for a bit.

I suspect she would enjoy a giant dog. She's still sad my giant Pogemon partner didn't come back with us.

I can tell a story, if she's got the patience to listen to one. And I have shadow-tentacles to play with. If she isn't scared of them, anyway.

[She'd let a little kid play with her tentacles, no problem. It's only when gross old men do it that she gets pissy.]

She plays with Zed's darkness, so I think she'll be fine with shadow tentacles. Not much scares her... other than her mama vanishing. Maybe a story will get her attention so she can listen.

[And she will, in maybe half an hour, once her shapeshifting has settled into her normal, human-plus-tentacles shape. Her eyes glow a little, but unless the light is dim it's harder to notice.

She raps on the (as promised) open hatch, peering inside at some inner part of Serenity.]

[Wash is pacing back and forth in the rather homey looking kitchen. Rose is still whimpering, though the screaming has let up a bit. Mostly because she's just too tired to keep it up any longer.]

I guess a polar bear dog might remind her of a pogemon a little. It would have been fun if I had kept my own pogemon form... So, where can we find you?

Sounds like a fun room. [No, really it does.] ...Not that I've ever been in a spaceship but we'll find it, so see you two soon. I'm glad she's at least in the age where it's easy to let it all out.

[ Not that babies probably could even keep it all in. Two things she's going to cheat on? She's riding Naga without her saddle or harness to get there even faster and Naga is better at tracking the baby by its cry than Korra and that's what she tells the dog to do.

So pretty soon there is a knock on their door with the girl and the polar bear dog standing at the doorway. ]

Hey. [ uh, guess she should start from their introductions first. ] I'm Korra and this is Naga.

No one can find her using... anything. So it seems so.

[For a spaceship, the kitchen area looks pretty homey. There's only one more door leading off it, which is less than Zoe would have been able to do. BUt at least Wash was able to create something.

Wash is currently pacing the room with a whimpering baby.]

[Rose at least looks up to study the giant dog.]

[ She'll keep the name in mind but decides to focus on their common mission of distracting the baby for now. Korra and Naga walk in, calm steps closer and closer to them. The girl stops before the dog, she trusts her completely not to mess up anything. ]

That's right, a giant puppy who is here to meet you.

[Naga's tail is wagging as she walks to them and sniffs, then gently and softly tries to nuzzle her a little.]
