In a lighter announcement than usual, Callum and I have made tacos in Aiya. The meat is beef, though requests for others can be made as well. I am trying to convince him to make ones with lamb in an experiment.
Anyone who wishes to partake of them is welcome to them.
[Because that is clearly the most important bit going on here.]
I am of the mindset that sharing food of our different homes is a way to come closer together as a group even loosely.
We do not have to like one another or agree on the large issues, but we can find a level of common ground between us.
In that light, what sort of things are common where you are from?

If you want good tacos the way my family does them - for beef, serve it on frybread rather than tortillas. If you're using tortillas, pico, cabbage, cilantro - classic stuff - make it with swordfish instead of beef, and drizzle some lime juice on it.
However you want to do it, count me in.

The diner is one of the few landmarks in Liminal space, if you show us how to do frybread there will be some.

But in general ... huh. One thing I ain't seen in many places is sushi - uh, the little rice rolls with the veggies or fish on them? Or there's onigiri, bigger rice balls with all kinds of stuff in the middle. Nabe, that's soup hotpots with all kinds of meat and veg in 'em, or curry in loads of sauce. Fried stuff done in batter. And ma taught me to make croquettes...

What sort of fish is usually used in sushi?

[He's not Sasha, but he might as well experiment.]
The common things we have are mostly bread and vegetable soups. Most of the things I've eaten back home are meatless, unless you're higher class or in the right side of the military.

Bread and vegetables are not terrible, and soup is a good way to get water while only needing one bowl to eat from.

[But that was a while ago, wasn't it? Should she have mentioned it? Ah, well, moving along.]
On Parum, most of the population prefers having their meals as shakes or bars. It's cheaper and more efficient than making a more traditional meal. That's usually saved for special occasions, or eating out. Though I believe it's more common to cook when you're outside of the bigger cities? I had a wonderful meal when I was on a hiking trip and we stopped at a farm, there was roast koltova and fresh vegetables!

You are more than welcome to come eat tacos.

But I'd certainly be interested in trying Earth food made with Earth ingredients. Our physiology's similar enough that it should be safe.

Earth has a large diversity in food, so there are many different things to try. Safety is important though, what restrictions should we be aware of when cooking?

You guys using corn tortillas or flour?

Don't think I've ever had tacos before.

Neither had I, they are quite good and you do not necessarily need two hands to eat them.

It's been some time since I've had anything with lamb. If you make it, I'd like to try it.
It's not anything like pizza, is it?

Tacos are different, they are similar to eating with pitas to hold the meat and vegetables.

[He's teasing her, really.]
I will make you lamb, I am in the kitchen when you arrive.

[Of course, she's also improved her cooking skills a lot since she was eight, but that's another matter.]
Tangenting off other conversations, I'm not sure about pizza tacos, but taco pizza is absolutely a thing. Thorne would probably call it an abomination unto tacokind, though, since it tends to involved ground beef and taco spices.

It's all terrible anyway.
