Hey, it's day two and Liminal Space changed already. I think we're really not meant to stay here for very long. After we finally got a chance to investigate together... I'm not sure who to blame for stuff like this.

[Ahem. He's a bit annoyed. Especially since he's busy rehearsing so his time with Korra is limited.]

About Liminal now... if you ever wanted to feel like a comic book character, now's your chance. I think I'll stay out of there for now.

I can't and won't keep secrets from Eren, Mikasa, Korra, Naoto or Naoki, but I wouldn't go around telling anything in public.

Okay. So. What basically happened was that I refused to tell Armin someone else's secret, so he read my surface thoughts to try and find it out that way.

He... what?

[Okay, wow, that's not what Jean was expecting. Not that he was sure what he had been expecting. Anyway, he's suddenly glad sensory livestreaming isn't on right now for several reasons.]

What the hell. That makes him no better than Malik with his forced interface! Invading someone's mind like that...

Yeah. I know. It was a shit move and we'll probably never be as close as we used to be, but I was a vampire at the time so really, having to read a vampire's thoughts was probably punishment in and of itself. I mean, that and all those Jaunts worth of the silent treatment.

But he seems to understand what he did wrong now--I guess Alcuin was able to drum it into his head how awful he'd been--and he begged for my forgiveness and I'm giving him a second chance. Hopefully he doesn't waste it.

But yeah, there's a reason me and Naoto and Claudia figured out how to get our brains to 'ping' us if we're being spied on.

I really, really want to just go to him and yell at him for being so stupid... but I know in this situation, it would be a bad idea considering we're on the same band.

[And the band has problems enough already with not!Reiner leaving.]

And if he's already gotten 'punished' and lectured at I don't see what difference I would make now. I'm just... why.

Don't tell me he... read their minds as well? Not just yours?

Naoto's anyway. We don't think he got Claudia.

I don't blame you for wanting to yell at him. It's the kind of thing that deserves yelling at, like, minimum. Maybe you can hold off on the yelling until later, when the Jaunt is over?

Naoto doesn't have a good image of Armin in the first place, so I can imagine this only made things worse.

Yeah. I hate faking everything's fine, but for the sake of their band, I'll do it... and after the Jaunt is over, I'll talk with him.

[Read: yell at him. Jean sighs.]

He did tell me once that "You can't change anything unless you can discard part of yourself too. To surpass monsters, you must be willing to abandon your humanity". I've never agreed with him on that...

Yeah, uh. She kinda hates him the most right now. I can't blame her. I spent months being scared of him.

I think he might have learned better about the abandoning humanity stuff, but time will tell. If he hasn't, then there won't be a third chance from me.

And... at least this is probably going to be a short Jaunt, so you'll only have to pretend everything's fine for a couple days and not, like, another month.

I'll probably talk to Naoto too, after we're all reunited. Definitely not to defend Armin, but to assure her that I won't think badly of her for hating him.

Haaa... I clearly haven't talked to him enough. It feels weird not to, considering how close we are back home. Then again, he's from my past, so he wouldn't know by personal experience.

Sorry, Thorne, for making you explain this to me. It probably isn't a pleasant thing to talk about.

Yeah. Wonky timelines make everything weird. And hey, it's okay. It's not the best thing to talk about, but I feel better for talking about it and not just hiding my feels.
