Alcuin, thank god. Joscelin is missing. Ambrose is missing. Ezio is missing. I have searched in every room which had an unlocked door, called for them all over the Network... nothing. I...

[He let's his mental voice falter as his physical form hangs his head in sorrow.]

I do not know what to do. What if they are not infiltrating? What if something has happened to them, or worse? Oh Dio...

[There's a sense of sharp attention, but Alcuin keeps his voice calm and soothing.]

I'm here; I haven't gone anywhere. You are not alone. You just confirmed what I had suspected, but I am sure there is an explanation. We'll find them together. Where are you now, Maestro?

[The tranquility in Alcuin's mental voice does seem to make him feel a little better, at least, and he in turn collects his thoughts and tries to reply as serenely as he can muster.]

No, neither have I. Nor do there appear to be any native residents, or infiltrators among us, if I am reading rumor correctly. Strange. Has anything like this happened before, to your knowledge?

So such a clear segregation of Investigators and Infiltrators is an anomaly, is it?

Yes, as far as my limited knowledge extends. I have only seen four Jaunts prior to this one, and have unfortunately been an infiltrator each time. As I understand it, however, investigators are not usually separated out like this.

I haven't seen any of the Infiltrators just yet... I'm wondering if we've been rather forcefully removed from them for a reason.

I am coming to a similar conclusion myself - though it does beg the question as to why.

I'm still me! But uh... I think most of the 'infiltrators' this round were outfiltrated a short while ago.

Also, these clothes? Sort of cool but these are more uncomfortable than the penguin suits I've had to wear.

Robin - I'm glad to hear you are with us! [No, really, that is real relief there.] Have you any word of the infiltrators? ...and if you wouldn't mind, what is a 'penguin'?

Maaan I am still not clear on what we're supposed to do here.

Exactly how 'all out' do we need to go with these outfits? Not sure I wanna wear these longer than I have to.

Unfortunately the Trumps are rarely forthcoming about the objectives they wish us to complete for them on any given Jaunt. [The mental voice is a touch rueful.] They almost never show themselves, and haven't spoken directly to Travelers in the six months I have been within their sphere of influence. Still, it has generally appeared that we are meant to assist the native inhabitants in making some form of decision, or change to their lifestyle - whether for better or for worse in our eyes does not always seem to match how the Trumps view the situation.

Here, however, we haven't had the chance to meet the native people yet. Unusual. If the clothes are any indication, I suspect those within this place are meant to be as impressive as the structure itself. We can't know for certain, of course, but I would suggest trousers, shirt, shoes and waistcoat at the very least. More than that I leave up to your judgement and comfort level.

I do assume we are yet to meet them. Perhaps it is like the time we arrived at that school.

[ Even though they were directly brought to the school itself and then brought inside to see them and this is going a lot more slowly, but.. come on, someone's at least got to keep up a little bit of positivity here, right? ]

Hopefully, yes! If we can discover what it is we are meant to do, or at least how we are meant to act toward them, it might ease our way.
