If everyone could please check in, perhaps we can determine who is infiltrating and who is investigating. Please especially speak up if you arrived outside of the room of clothing racks. Has anyone met one of the infiltrators yet?

I do assume we are yet to meet them. Perhaps it is like the time we arrived at that school.

[ Even though they were directly brought to the school itself and then brought inside to see them and this is going a lot more slowly, but.. come on, someone's at least got to keep up a little bit of positivity here, right? ]

Hopefully, yes! If we can discover what it is we are meant to do, or at least how we are meant to act toward them, it might ease our way.

That much is true, perhaps they are giving us a few moments to actually make up a strategy for once. [ He mentally chuckles a little - Inigo is not nearly as confident in that idea as he likes to pretend, but.. well, that practically counts for anything involving this guy, really. ]

I am having quite a difficult time though trying to tell how modern exactly this place is. I am not used with anything beyond my own world's time other than what I have observed in other Jaunts.

I am similarly confused. This technology is well beyond what I am familiar with, and does not appear to match what I know from the Ivory Tower. Nor the style of architecture, either. The area must be incredibly rich in metals to have used so much in the structure instead of stone or wood.

I thought perhaps it was a palace of sorts?

[ It's the only sort of similarly decorated place he's used to back home, so it's the easiest comparison to draw. ]

Someone who could build such a place must have a lot of gold to be able to afford it, after all. Someone rich or important must have been involved with constructing this place.

It certainly has the feel of a palace, but the layout seems very odd for it to be a palace. Why would the wardrobe be mixed, and set so far away from the sleeping chambers? It is certainly a very expensive structure. And meant to dwell in, at least a little. If we are in the servants' quarters, it seems strange that that so many of the doors would be locked. They would need to be able to reach the dining room and kitchens, at the very least. But these are too small and modest to be a ruling family's chambers, I should think.

Have you seen anything like these machines that generate illusions? I have only seen one like it, and it was much more advanced. These do not fill the whole room, nor pull images from your thoughts.

You would be surprised how strange certain palaces can be, truly. Some royal families have rather.. odd tastes. [ Although it's only stuff he remembers from a long time ago.. hardly anything concrete, but he remembers being brought along to other countries, other palaces, marvelling at all the things that were nothing like the place he was used to. ]

Either way, I have not quite seen anything like those machines. Nothing in my world is this advanced to begin with, so the best I could do is try to compare it to other places we have visited.
