I made some apology cookies... if you're okay with eating them. I get why you wouldn't be.

I swear I don't usually make a kidnapping habit.

My spirit animal. He did that infiltrating-but-still-yourself thing too; he was my overlay's assistant. You worried him way more than you worried me, so he's getting the cookies.

For such a short Jaunt, a lot happened.

No kidding. That was a hell of a week--I was wondering how the rest of it was going to go if the first few days were that nuts, and then bam, we were back.

I think we all might have had heart attacks if that pace had kept up.

I thought that's why there was easily available alcohol on the Jaunt.

Was it really that much more abundant than any of the others?

Well, it was for me. Last Jaunt I had that kind of wealth, I was also a vampire. Made getting alcohol kind of tricky.

Oh, well that's different. The wine seemed to be flowing pretty freely on a lot of Jaunts, but access makes all the difference.

Yeah, it's a pain not to be able to get stuff when you want it.
