I'm sure some of you have already discovered the reason for Liminal Space's current shape, but for those who haven't, Star is one of the living Arcana once more. Their restoration wasn't my work alone, but it was my idea to make the attempt, and my plan that we followed. The resurrection, and any consequences it might have on the Jaunt or Jaunts to follow is my responsibility. Not my team's, not the result of some plot by the Arcana or any outside forces. Mine.

Before anyone asks, I don't have any intention of resurrecting the rest of the fallen Arcana. I don't think it could even be done the same way a second time. With one exception, we don't know enough about how and where they died - and I suspect even making the attempt would be so against the idiom of that exception as to guarantee failure.

[The psychic broadcast is Private and Protected from any prying minds, locked down to only those veterans of Moebius who are pure Investigators.]

Does anyone remember the Hellstones? As more than just a story.

The rebels planned to steal one, using the Investigators' ability to portal. The Investigators withdrew, it became a bloodbath. The Hellstone was never recovered.

Either it's out there unaccounted for, or one of us took it.

Was anyone able to get readings of the signal the large Nation-Eater was putting out? Particularly before it emerged?

If we have the data, and a handful of people with the skills to analyze it, I think we might be able to break it down and isolate the part that was driving the smaller Nation-Eaters away. It could help protect the people here against further predation, if we aren't able to evacuate everyone.

[The Jaunt has only been over for perhaps half an hour when Allura's voice comes across the network, tight and clipped as though she has a white-knuckled grasp on control.]

I know some of us tend toward trigger happy.

[As evidenced by the chalk outline in the penalty box - not quite a universal sign for 'some poor soul was just murdered', but close.]

But I would strongly advise against killing someone who has been severed from the Network or from Liminal Space. It appears to...disrupt the mechanism by which we're resurrected if we die during a Jaunt. They will return in the Floor, aware for at least part of the process.

So, I have good news and bad news.

[She should probably just message Matt and maybe Zarkon and Alfor, but... what the heck, let everyone hear.]

The good would be that I found Shiro, Keith and Lotor. All in one place!

[Wohoo!]

The bad would be that we're all in jail.

I'm working on getting us out of here though, if we don't get released. We did kinda bunch cops in the face so they might not want to let us out and... yeah.

[It's a day or two after the return to Liminal Space that Allura's voice sounds across the Network - long enough for people to regain their bearings, and hopefully long enough for most to realize the effects of the sunflower-floor.]

It seems clear enough which of the Arcana won this round, but is anyone certain who lost? Or, more importantly, which of them is left to play? There can't be more than one or two Jaunts left in this bracket.

[Depending, she's fairly certain, on whether or not the re-admittance of one of the Arcana to their game after Yensid meant an extension of this portion of the competition.]

[It's been a little over a day and a half since Allura was pulled from her Dungeon. Long enough to sleep the clock around, and to sort through some of the memories of the Jaunt - those that aren't so thorny that they've been packed away in a mental box labelled 'handle only if necessary'.

One of those memories stands out as particularly critical, and it's that which prompts her to dare the open network rather earlier than she might have preferred.]

Does anyone know where I can find a Traveler by the name of Altair? There are matters we needed to discuss, once we were both back to ourselves.

[She's tried hailing the man privately, to no effect, and while that could mean a Dungeon expedition, or a series of increasingly unlikely other scenarios, it's still enough to run streamers of ice through her veins.]

So I feel like I need to apologize to everyone my overlay kidnapped.

[Even if she can sort of see where D'Eath was coming from...]

I made some apology cookies... if you're okay with eating them. I get why you wouldn't be.

I swear I don't usually make a kidnapping habit.

[Oh she takes people but...]</small

[Early in the day - well before her own abduction - Allura's voice comes across the network, the pattern of her thought-speech quick, but oddly lacking inflection.]

Given recent events, I think it's time we work out just which of our patrons is hosting this Jaunt, and whether or not we can allow their preferences to dictate how we go about freeing those who've been captured.

Does anyone have any insight into which of the Arcana are playing this round?

Or into the security measures we're likely to see at the detainment facility?
