A returnee
Well what do you know, I'm back again. [At least the network seemed to be working like always. How he missed the strange voices inside his head.... except not really. He heard those enough when he got drunk enough.]
I'm Qrow. I was around for Moebius, but then the lovely hosts stuck me in a dungeon. I've heard it's been a pretty long while since then. Anyone care to fill me in on the most important blanks? If you're not comfortable in talking over here, we can always meet up.
[He pauses, before adding the most important thing he had in mind for this network call out.]
Most important one of them being my pocket flask. I need a damn drink.

Hi, bird, I'm Korra. Please don't mind the polar bear dog, who sometimes goes around Liminal Space - she's the friendliest polar bear based animal, that you'll ever meet.
[ Someone who knows time between Moebius and right now better could probably hit that part of the post. ]
Seriously, that's your first priority? ... I guess you could learn to make your own drinks. Eventually anyway, not sure how close or far you are to being able to learn the skills for that.
no subject
If you'd been stuck in a dungeon for as long as I was without being able to restock on booze, you'd want one too. And I know I could, but it takes time to learn that stuff no matter how close you are. So before I get there, a refill from somewhere else will do.
no subject
No, I think that one would go to the fact that I don't drink alcohol. [For now. Somehow infiltrating or something might change that someday... January was trying to, sometimes.] And true, but let's hope you will learn it sooner or later. I'm sure you'll find something somewhere. [ Like the bar, but if she tells him about the bar, it won't be a surprise at all. ]
no subject
[If only that also worked on the grimm that looked like dogs or wolves.]
You might be better off not touching that stuff. Enough of us who enjoy it way too much in the whole wide world.
no subject
[ Naga's priorities, ladies and gentlemen. ]
That is very true and it wouldn't really fit my training at all either. [ gotta keep the world in balance and all that Avatar stuff. ]
no subject
[Not in a bad way, of course.]
Don't tell me you're training to become a nun or something?
no subject
[ Not taking it in a bad way at all, really, it amuses her. ... until she hears that and it takes her by surprise so much that she's just glad she rarely goes speechless from weird comments even. ]
What?! No, no definitely not! [ oh gosh she could never ever even try, except maybe her worst times were much like that but that's because she was in a wheelchair back then. ] I-- [ SHE'D CALL HER TRAINING VERY PHYSICAL but that just sounds weird after that!! Not that she minds the topic, just maybe not on the network. ] It's a lot of working out and sparring and other things like that.
no subject
So more like training to become a huntress? Or, well, maybe the more used term is a warrior.
no subject
Never heard of huntresses before, though I could hunt my own food and fish my own fish?
[ And she is super chill, because yeah, she knows that is not what he most likely means with the term but she's chatty. ]
no subject
[He chuckles at the later sentence.]
I'm pretty sure we huntsmen and huntresses can as well if we need to. We're sort of like the protectors of the world. We fight monsters and solve crimes, for example. Some are even seen as celebrities...
no subject
[ she'll take the chuckling with a grin, good good. ]
I'm pretty sure anyone who learns them somewhere can do that. Oh, so we both protect the world then, aaaaand the rest of that sounds very familiar too. I guess our worlds aren't that different sometimes even if they can still be really different despite the similarities.

If I were to make an example... my niece can burst into rose petals. She becomes a lot faster while she does so it's great for catching anyone off-guard or just running away. Otherwise there are those who can use their Semblance to give themselves a power boost or make illusions.
Heh. Seems like it. And differences only make things more interesting.
no subject
[ and she spends a lot of time in both. ]
Wow, so it can be a lot of different, very cool things then. I mean sure, we can use bending in a lot of creative ways too and spirits do their own things around all the time but I've never seen anyone turn into rose petals.
True, so all this traveling has been really interesting too.
no subject
It's definitely a very special ability. There are Semblances that run in the family, so to say, but those aren't really that common. Usually every one is unique to their owner, even if there can be some very similar to others'.
[If she'll ask, he'll tell his semblance as well. It's not something he should keep much of a secret around other Travelers. Back at home he had his reasons not to say anything, but here was a different story.]
no subject
Huh. Well bending doesn't run in the family either, whether or not someone borns to be a bender is coincidental and then it is even more coincidental to be born to be the Avatar -- that's my title back home, means I can bend all the elements and I'm supposed to bring balance to the world with it and be the bridge between the mortal world and the Spirit World. Though some siblings can both be born to be benders, I know a few but then all of them are not and some of them can be benders of different elements.
So, what's your Semblance? If you don't mind sharing it. [ he could obviously just not tell if he minds too much. ]
no subject
[Speaking of luck...]
Misfortune. My ability is to bring misfortune to everyone around me, including myself. I can't turn my Semblance off or control it so it's always there. Kind of a like a bad luck charm.
/uses a song called FRIDAY THE 13TH as tagging music for this
[ Wow, misfortune like that? ]
Well that's unfortunate. [pause, when she realizes what she says.] ...or I mean, sounds like you had some really bad luck for ending up with that.
[ ................ no, she doesn't ................ ................ you know what, she'll just shut up now. ]
the irony
[That would be kinda cool. To know every element and all that comes with them.
Qrow honestly just laughs at what she says, genuinely even.]
Don't worry, I make those kind of jokes all of the time. Why not, when you have the opportunity?
my spotify loves trolling to our threads as always
[ Except she'll never want to learn to bloodbend. The fact that she's 21 and hasn't learned lightning bending either might say something about it... or for the fact that she still has new skills to learn and teacher for it near her.
Genuine laughing is good, she should take some pride for getting him to do that. ]
Oh good, because I might accidentally do them sometimes. Hey at least no one can say they jinxed things to happen anywhere near you, when they happen anyway but that's good to know that things like that might happen with it.
trololololooo
[Which would make sense.]
Yeah, if someone ever says they jinxed something, I just need to wave my hand nearby to let them go off their guilt.
no subject
[She is talking a lot, but that might just remind him of Ruby or someone else.
Also it's Korra's time to laugh a little at that.]
Sounds like a good plan.

[change of topic?]
Speaking of people, we tend to fight against them or spirits, whose negative energy has gone too high. You said you fight monsters, what kind of monsters?
no subject
They don't have a soul and they generally just bring destruction around them.

I want a drink too...

More than likely either from the bar I mentioned or some corner of the Workshop place. I'm wearing a red cape, so that's one way to recognize me.

[And with that, radio silence. Radio silence for a surprisingly long period of time with no one in red making in appearance. Like, a worryingly long time. Liminal Space definitely isn't so big that it should take this long to wander into one measly door.]
[Which is something else that will probably be fairly obvious, if he even recognizes Armin anymore.]
On the bright side, anyone with liminal manipulation ii can help you with a drink - people other than Remy finally figured out how to make nourishing food and drink. I'd say probably about one in two Travelers can do it now. You may just want to make friends with Naoki, though - we can make rooms not subject to all the foibles of liminal space now, and I believe he's actually running a bar out of his.
Hey kid, good to hear from you. Well, if you consider still being stuck in this place to be any good... three and a half years. That's longer than I thought would have passed.
[Not that he's sure how long he was in the dungeon, but it certainly wasn't years. Maybe months at best.]
Man, maybe I should treat myself as a new arrival, rather than someone returning. My knowledge certainly is more of a newbies' anyway.
[Naoki, eh? He'll keep the name in mind.]
