... Right, so. Casper here. I have a few things to discuss. I don't know if they're relevant, but here we go.

First of all, there's a number of Travelers who are dead. They don't seem to be able to get in contact with us on the network, and they can't go through walls or doors. If you can talk to the dead, give me a shout - we should organize to at least make sure everyone has news from each side. I saw a number of ghosts at the burial service. Let me know if you need to pass a message along in the meantime - I'll do what I can to find people.

Second of all, one of the ghosts gave me a sigil. Given everything people are saying, I'm not going to draw it out. I can describe it. The person who gave it to me was Frederika Bernkastel. She also said something about an Emperor of the Dead, which... I'd like to follow up on, but I'd also like someone with more experience in Harrogate eldritch stuff to double-check my work, so to speak.

And finally... I don't know if this is relevant, but I had a bad dream about a crowded cafe very late at night, people with red eyes, and an intense feeling of dread. Could be my imagination running off on me, but it might be something. I'm not exactly someone who's dipped into prophecy-related things, but given that we have very few leads and this place is practically screaming 'horror novel', I don't want to automatically throw it out.

But if we're in Harrogate, and it looks like a summoning circle, it's probably a summoning circle.

She might not be a ghost. Just something that looks like one.

It looked like it was from the Ars Goetia, it's definitely a summoning circle of some sort.

But if she's not a ghost, then my abilities may not be able to touch her. I could talk to her as if she was one... but that may change if I have to try to fight her.

Which I don't want to do if at all possible... but we might have to.

Yeah, I know. I'm not exactly raring to go get my brain scrambled by an eldtritch beast. Ghosts I can handle. Other stuff I'm not so specialized in.

I've learned a little about how to fight the kinds of things we might find here.

But I can't see ghosts.

Maybe we should stick close together.

Maybe. ... The fact that there are so many ghosts is... disturbing. Like, normally you'd see a few at a funeral, depending on how famous the person is, but I keep feeling a general sense of death around and that is not normal, at least for my world. It's driving me nuts. Like an itch you can't scratch.

It's not unlikely that more people die unsettled here than most other places.

I'm not surprised, given what you guys said about the history, but if it's been more than just that period... ugh.

This... could be bad. Anything that disturbs the dead...

[There's a strong pulse of frustration.]

... Not my world. We have to help it, but... this isn't my world.

The last time I was here... I said I wouldn't be held responsible for what the Arcana wouldn't let us do to help.

This time, I want to do better.

... Right. This would be much simpler if... we'll have to keep meeting up with the people on the dead side. If there's something that's keeping them from resting peacefully, we need to find it. If it's not on our side...

[He hesitates again.]

We might need to find a way to cross over. Preferably without dying. We can't let this poison keep infecting the place. The dead need their rest.

This isn't Greece. I'm not sure finding a cave will work that easily.

I know... of a few ways to do it, but I've never done it myself. So it might not work at all, let alone here. ... This split is going to be a problem.

We should get used to those.

If other ways don't work, the normal way would be fine.

... I can see your reasoning, but I can't approve of it.

We'll... figure something out.

I wasn't planning to volunteer anyone other than myself.
