You know how I ran into the poachers' inside guy? Needed some way to keep him there until I got some backup and I didn't have much, but I figured if I could get just the goo I could block him.

Ain't sure how I got just the goo, but it worked.

I haven't really done a lot with the goo - I can make a tether, but that's not quite the same thing. Possibly the same general principle, though.

A tether?

Yeah - it's maybe a few centimeters wide, but I can get it pretty long.

...Wonder if I stumbled into that at some point, somehow. The only other thing I know of with goo is Thorne's template business, and I sure can't do that.

Yeah, but it never directly involved the goo before.

Yeah, but bubbles aren't really meant to keep things in, though; they're more geared towards keeping things out, and even then I think people can come and go as they please. You were trying to keep this guy contained, so you needed something stronger than a bubble, but the general shape of a bubble was still useful.

Anyway, I think it makes more sense to look at it as a solidified bubble than a tether that's been stretched out the other way.

I don't know - I mean, I could see using that as a protective wall, too. How long did you maintain it?

Good few minutes. Some of the people who showed up wanted to unload the dragons he did load up, so I took it down then.

That might be something to test at some point, although no matter which side of the wall you're on you probably don't want to have to maintain it for long.
