I am Altaïr. I look like one of the Stonefolk, tall with wings, but I think some of my face is still recognizable as me. I have no shirt. This might be for the wings. I will be at the festival and making a trip to the home mountain. It seems that, for the festival, Stonefolk are disguising themselves as humans disguising themselves as Stonefolk. Are they attempting what we call 'Malik Gambiting'? [ Heh. ] We must respect the reason for their discretion. Perhaps humans hunt them.

Tonight I will be learning how to pass as one of them in every way, as well as testing the limits of my form out of sight of humans. If anyone wishes to learn with me, let me know and I will meet you.

Kinji, I will expect a full report on Stonefolk daily customs and manners before I return to the mountain.

As long as I do not have to sift through too many photos of you like I did after Achaia. [ He's never Interfaced anything living, let alone intelligent as a human. ...the humans here hunt animals. As you do; not maliciously or anything, just for the reasons you might anywhere else.

But I get the feeling from talking to who I'm pretty sure is Gil's overlay that they don't know the Forestfolk are people instead of... your ordinary everyday animals. He survived one of those snappy toothed traps and has the scars to prove it.

The animals I can understand the confusion. But the Stonefolk hide as well. This is what puzzles me. They seem capable of living alongside humans, yet they do not.
