Just when I thought we maybe wouldn't need it. [That part's in a muttered tone, so Claudia probably didn't mean to broadcast it.]

Wrinkle in the plan, guys, Beatrice moved the amulet. She made a really big deal about storing it under guard in the top of her tower, so my guess is it's anywhere but the tower. We don't have much time to work on this. Thoughts?

My first one, frankly, is 'tase the bejeezus out of her and loot her while she's unconscious,' but there's no guarantee that would turn up clues.

Since we do not know too much about her motives, that could draw innocents into unnecessary conflict. I think we should refrain from killing her for now.

Alright. In that case, we would need to convene again to form a different plan. It would require more than just someone willing to kill.

I thought so, too, but straight out killing her might mean too much trouble for people after.

The fallout from such a public figure being assassinated needs to be planned and directed to not backfire.

This stuff is a lot easier when you're on an island in a... [catbox, she almost thinks, but manages to stop herself because Kitty is scared of boxes] storm. A big, long storm.

It's easier when you're just employed to do a part of a thing or when someone else can do the fall-out plotting, yeah. Especially when they're important and important in the long term.

Altair's right. De-infiltrating her would be smoother, if someone's available who can do it. Stabbing should be our absolute last resort.

I can also stab other people if we need it, but I dunno if they'll understand like Beato would.

...We do have non-lethal incapacitation options, Maria. I really don't think we'll need to stab anyone except maybe her.

Oh. Okay. But I do want to help! I know how to be sneaky from Mari too! And I can Sing pretty much all the Songs! And I can do almost as many portal things as Uncle Matthew!

We might need portal things to get the amulets from wherever they are to where they need to be, and Song is a decent distraction tool for her hired muscle, isn't it?

I think there's some room for you to help, even if it's not stabbing people.

Sometimes it's a good idea to set something nearby on fire to draw the attention over there.

...Not literally though, most of the time. [Unless a very literally minded troll is told to cause a distraction with the words 'set something on fire or such'.]
