[OPEN] [Warning for cannibalism and gore!]
((Backdated to before the icebreaker mingle
Warnings: References to and discussion of cannibalism. Maybe descriptions of gore? Also some crazy of a different flavor than last Jaunt.))
[Over the last couple of days Sera had steadily gotten more and more withdrawn. Surely that was understandable, given what had happened to her in the last Jaunt? Except it wasn't about that; it was something worse. Something she gave no other outward sign of until she was forced at last to reach out on the psychic network. Now without the strength to even try to filter her emotions, her mental voice brings with it her desperation, fear, and hunger. the thoughts come in fragments, like she's having trouble focusing.]
Please- Please, I need help- I- I have the Demon Virus. I need to devour-
REND. KILL. [Here there is a shift in the mental voice. It is still obviously Sera, but it feels different. It's harsher, almost feral, and brings with it a sensation of bloodlust. Sera's struggle against these alternate instincts can be felt as well. Desperate to stay in control, but slipping with terrifying frequency.]
No! Please I need to- Need to devour people- Devour or I lose control. But There's no enemies here. No morgue. I don't want to hurt-
OM MANI PADME HM
Don't want to hurt anyone- But- But if I don't devour I'll lose control- And then I'll hurt everyone! Please- Please, if the Virus takes over- Someone stop me before- Before I hurt my comrades-
EAT THEM ALL EAT THEM ALL EAT THEM ALL EAT THEM ALL EAT THEM ALL EAT THEM ALL!
No, please!
((OOC: Hijikata and Leonardo will be stopping her from rampaging, but in the meantime everyone's welcome to speak to her psychically!))

This is...distressingly familiar.]
Do you need an entire person?
no subject
DEVOUR EVERYTHING
I'll need an entire person- To regain control but- But even a little buys time.
no subject
[So...sure, take a leg. A something.
Hopefully his waifu doesn't get too upset with him, but he'd rather volunteer to be chewed on than have a massacre on their hands.]
Where are you?
no subject
[Panicked Leo is panicked, please be okay both of you :< ]
no subject
[Show up, get her a snack to hold her over, then Leo gets her to Liminal Space and everything's good.
PIECE OF CAKE.]

Do you need specifically humans?

PAIN, FEAR, DELICIOUS SUFFERING!
I- Bad emotions make the blood more- ...Satisfying.

What about spirits?

MEAT. RAW. WARM. FULL OF SWEET BLOOD.

NO PREY
No people. [The word "people" is strongly emphasized in her mind and by her emotions. No, she refused to think of people as prey, no matter what her demon's instincts were trying to make her think.]
It- It depends. How much magic- How much I change. Used too much in Liminal Space- Sped up- Panicking- Stupid!

[There is a serge of anxiety at the end that overtakes even the more animalistic emotions for a few seconds. But since she was probably about the say the last Jaunt, it's hard to tell whether it's memories of dying or memories of the jaunt itself that caused it.]
no subject
Does that reset the hunger?

How unfortunate. But, I guess it can't be helped.
[ he sounds terribly unsympathetic and unconcerned, in stark contrast to everyone else who has responded. you accidentally devour his brother and there will problems. ]
Negative emotions increase satiation, you say? [ he might have been listening in on what she's been saying to the others before him. ]

I- I don't know why it works- But it does-
[There's only the slightest twinge at his coldness. Clearly it's not an attitude she blames him for taking.]

Then whatever they are going to do to try and help you isn't much of a long term solution. Let's talk some point later, when things aren't like this.
[ a conversation between monsters—they'd understand each other better than one might think and talking or getting advice from people not in similar circumstances just never seems to succeed much. ]
no subject
ALWAYS HUNGRY
But later- Can talk easier-
no subject
But, yeah, later—don't lose your control now that you've held out this long before they get there.

What are you?

The Virus- It turns a human into a demon- Can normally- Control it but-
DEVOUR
But the side effects- Lose control if I don't...
no subject
How do you control it?
[Since becoming a Traveler, she's heard of benevolent demons. But the losing control part doesn't sound good. The organization she belongs to...have a different definition of "controlling" Horrors so she doesn't...] What kind of food do you usually...
no subject
[And that answers the food question, doesn't it? But sadness comes through the connection too. It at least wasn't something she enjoyed doing.
no subject
Is it really just emotions? Why did you mention a morgue?
