[Over the last couple of days Sera had steadily gotten more and more withdrawn. Surely that was understandable, given what had happened to her in the last Jaunt? Except it wasn't about that; it was something worse. Something she gave no other outward sign of until she was forced at last to reach out on the psychic network. Now without the strength to even try to filter her emotions, her mental voice brings with it her desperation, fear, and hunger. the thoughts come in fragments, like she's having trouble focusing.]

REND. KILL. [Here there is a shift in the mental voice. It is still obviously Sera, but it feels different. It's harsher, almost feral, and brings with it a sensation of bloodlust. Sera's struggle against these alternate instincts can be felt as well. Desperate to stay in control, but slipping with terrifying frequency.]

[There is a serge of anxiety at the end that overtakes even the more animalistic emotions for a few seconds. But since she was probably about the say the last Jaunt, it's hard to tell whether it's memories of dying or memories of the jaunt itself that caused it.]

[It pretty much is an accusation. "Demon" is a loaded word for her... At hearing it again, some enforced calm goes through the link; she's been made aware that she's been getting irritated much easier than normal this Jaunt, so she's been using meditative tactics to keep a lid on it.]

How do you control it?

[Since becoming a Traveler, she's heard of benevolent demons. But the losing control part doesn't sound good. The organization she belongs to...have a different definition of "controlling" Horrors so she doesn't...] What kind of food do you usually...

[And that answers the food question, doesn't it? But sadness comes through the connection too. It at least wasn't something she enjoyed doing.

[The similarities to Horrors keep getting stronger... But it's impossible for someone eaten by a Horror to return to being human, so this is something else. Just gotta keep telling herself that and remain calm...]
