Well, he had to find out he kept prophetic nightmares *sometime*...
I'm a bit concerned about the timing of this given that we haven't been back in Liminal Space for very long, but apparently I also came away from Harrogate with prophetic dreams, and this one seems... oddly Liminal-focused.
It featured an overly gaudy gilt-and-velvet theatre, mostly decorated in red and black. Travelers who sat in the general seating area were immediately handcuffed in place, although they could be freed with assistance from another Traveler. The box seats contained spinning beds like the one in Lovers' area during the extended Liminal stay prior to the start of phase three, and the onstage "entertainment" consisted of reenactments of Jaunt events using Traveler-shaped puppets on golden chains. There was also music, but I can't identify it - I think it might be some kind of Western classical music.
I can share the memory if anyone wants to see or hear it for themselves; I just didn't want to get the melody stuck in anyone's heads without warning.
[For those who take him up on this offer, this is the musical accompaniment.]

[He still doesn't get why Jules had wanted him to watch it.]

[That probably doesn't help, does it.]

So basically the first five minutes are a baby deer's mum being killed by a hunter in like- child-traumatising detail, and the rest of the movie's watching the baby grow up. Very saccharine after the blunt murder.

[Granted, Raidou's probably heard worse stories, and probably at quite a young age at that, but he's a terrible judge of what's normal and what isn't.]

It's not one of the ones I've got, anyway. Never really got into it. Murder aside, it's kind of just cutesy and boring? Not my style.

[He's not sure he has the patience to sit through that many movies.]

I'm not gonna like, force you to come and watch, don't worry. I just think Fantasia's awesome.

Claudia seemed to think I might like it.
[He's not doubting her; his experience with movies in general is just sorely lacking.]

How long did it take for others to start making them?

As soon as Disney made the tech known. It was the new big thing, everyone had to be in on it. Animators are always stealing techniques and shit from each other though, my friend Eileen did a big uni project on it once. I wish I remembered it better, that was super cool.
I think rotoscoping was invented around your time, tracing photos of real people to use as bases for animations.

[Not that he thinks they should have, because he doesn't, but that would give them a decided advantage.]
