a vague change of pace

Hi folks, Ambrose here. We've got...all kinds of weird nuttiness right now with the long liminal and the past present future revelations, so I was thinking we could do with some blowing off of steam. With the power of song and dance.

I know we've got the fancy liminal ball coming up soon and I'm looking forward to that - and might need some help with a frock - but what I've got in mind is more casual. Like we can have a little performance stage for folks to sing or play an instrument or tell jokes or stories, and maybe we can put together a karaoke machine? Then maybe go for a nightclub thingy with a dance floor and mirror ball and stuff. Silly cheesy fun to tide us over.

I could maybe convert my rooms into it but if we get decent interest we might need more space so...yeah. Sound like a plan?

If there is a theme it should be Not Christmas. We have how many people who aren't Christian and who are probably getting confused when we bring it up? There's plenty of that to go round without us adding more.

...I can definitely do a bunch of sodas though.

Hopefully I can get a gizmo to work. I know the principles behind the hardware but...despite having been a Program I still can't write one. My inclination's to just use magic.

I've got an entire portable hard drive of music that I retrieved from Newport Me's stuff. Plus, Alcuin interfaced every single eighties pop song from the last karaoke machine.

Um. D'you have any theme suggestions? I know "not Christmas" but that leaves a lot of stuff.

Most of my modern musical tastes are shared with Thorne and Alcuin, I think. She was born around the time I died, and he's just very impressionable. Not to mention suiting the pop music aesthetic of the 80's extremely well...

Yeah, Thonre's chimed in for that too. I guess between...all of us we'll get a good range of stuff. Aaaand now I'm thinking of maybe pushing this back to after next jaunt to avoid all the holiday-ish connotations.
