[Though it may be somewhat alarming to those who have yet to experience the telepathic network, Armin's image appears in everyone's mind. It's been a while since they arrived back, and nobody else seems to be taking the lead getting everyone organized, so he figures someone needs to step up.]
To all the newcomers arriving, please stay calm. Try not to panic, and try not to project your thoughts so chaotically - with all of you that are arriving, it'll only make things more confusing for everyone. No one should hear your thoughts if you're not actively projecting them - except in Gate A2.
I know you all have a lot of questions. There are many of us who've been here a while, so try to find someone who looks like they know what they're doing, and they can help you. I'll try to help as best I can too - we can talk like this, or if you'd prefer face to face, I'm in the hallway connecting the V1 and V2 lounges.

Does anybody know if one of the Trumps was actually present, whether it was PSYCHENet or not? Was anybody marked this time?

Really? I don't think so.
[ She's just 100% genuine about that.. ]
You're already so great even now, I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me about that.

Mai just stammers for a moment longer, and then shakes her head slightly and ducks her head. She's still blushing, but slowly she's calming down a little, at least.... no imminent heart attack anymore.]
Oh no... please don't... You're too much, Chizuru-san. [don't ask anyone about that, she'd die...]
But... thank you very much. I think... I think if we can help even a little, then...we must be here for a reason after all.
no subject
Yes.. I really think it's why you were brought here. [ Chizuru can make her own reason for being here a little more concrete like the Trumps realising Hijikata is just simply a lot more stable with her around.. ]
Because no one would be able to help everyone the way you do.
no subject
It's fine. They're both here, and they're both doing their best.
It'll be fine.
(All of this will be forgotten by the end of next Jaunt.)]
That's... that's right! Between the two of us, I think... I think we can definitely do our part...! And... maybe that means that we can take some of the trouble away from the others...
They always have so much on their shoulders. [Like Hijikata. It makes her worry. Though at least Hijikata has Chizuru. Ambrose, on the other hand...]
no subject
A lot of people here seem like that, huh..? Maybe it's something about the situation.
[ Since not all of them look like they have to deal with this stuff a lot back home. Hijikata does and she knows it, but still, he seems like a pretty special case in that regard. ]
The load each person carries away from a Jaunt.. it must start to add up after a while.
no subject
But she just tilts her head slightly, and then nods. It's not like the Jaunts aren't hard, after all.]
It could be... I mean... they can be really hard sometimes. And... not everyone talks about it, when they need to.
[Looking at you, Raidou.]
It worries me a lot...
no subject
It's probably why she stares at Mai for a moment before she softly asks-- ]
Have you dealt with people like that before, Mai-san?
[ From what she remembers, anyway, but Chizuru doesn't want to voice that implication out loud when it's such a Sensitive Issue. ]
no subject
[OH YES, SHE SURE HAS... and she suspects Chizuru will understand, but nonetheless she immediately draws herself up, and--]
Shin...Shin is so bad at taking care of himself, or saying what he feels... [tsundere] I know he's very kind, but he always pretends like he isn't... And Ikki-san is always trying to please everyone, but he should take care of himself sometimes...!
[huff puff. And is that a pout--] And Toma...
[.............]
Toma needs to be more honest too... It worries me a lot. A-and then here, Levi-san tries to pretend like he doesn't care about people too, and Raidou-san and Inigo-san try to pretend like they're never hurt by things... and Ambrose-san is always trying to take care of me, even when he's sad too, and then there's Saitou-san and Okita-san and Hijikata-san...!
[your samurai are a disaster ok]
no subject
But yes, this is something she very well understands.. it all just comes down to the same thing - guys hiding their problems. Sure, they show it differently (even back home, with Hijikata's stern denial, Saitou's lack of any emotional expression half of the time, Souji's threat, Heisuke's laughter, Sano's smile) but it's all the same thing in the end.
Guys are just a disaster, huh. ]
It really is worrying, huh.. [ She nods a little bit - she's been worried about it too. About a few other people than Mai, but still, it's the same thing. ]
I suppose all we can do though is to make sure to support them-- that way they won't have to worry about keeping all their feelings inside even when they're hurting. [ ... ] It can be good practice for the people you want to help back home, as well.
[ LIKE UKYO.. sadly she hasn't been able to meet the rest of Mai's harem just yet, but if he's supposed to be the prime example, then..
.. yeah. Good luck. ]
no subject
So she nods at that, wide-eyed but determined.
If all they can do is to support them until they're ready, then... well.]
Mm...! I'll do my best...! And... if Chizuru-san is doing this as well, then... I'm sure we'll be able to help a lot of people. [because chizuru is amazing etc etc etc second verse same as the first.
But yeah, the people back home..............Ukyo.................]
Chizuru-san, do you think... um. I mean-- [...] I saw Ukyo-san again, a little bit ago.
no subject
[ Chizuru blinks. She hasn't met that many people during fourth wall shenanigans, so it's not like she can immediately deduce when it was that Mai saw him.. her reaction is midway between surprised and concerned, since she was sure Ukyo was trapped in a dungeon portal somewhere-- and that feels sad, okay. Ukyo seemed rather.. well. Not-so-manly-samurai-y to her, which means she has reason enough to worry. ]
When was that..?
no subject
[Mai, Chizuru doesn't know what an airport looks like--but she's too distracted to notice that, it seems. Instead, quietly, she carries on.]
He was there...for sure. It was definitely him...! And he helped me, and...
[...]
And now I can't find him again.
no subject
So Chizuru is already looking around her as if Ukyo could pop up any moment now like that before turning towards the other girl with a somewhat Serious Look in her eyes. ]
Then-- let's look for him together, Mai-san! Who knows, he could still be around somewhere.. I'd feel terrible abandoning him in that case.
no subject
But even so, if Chizuru thinks that they could find him even so...
Then Mai certainly can't just sit around and hope. She jumps to her feet, nodding quickly.]
A-ah...right...! He...he was the same old Ukyo-san, so I...I want to be able to talk to him more as well.
no subject
So it could be that he left to hide somewhere around here. But that's why we have to find him and encourage him that it's alright now.
no subject
Oh no...! But he gets so lonely so easily, I...
[...She bites her lip, fingers intertwined in her nervousness.]
Please...help me look for Ukyo-san, Chizuru-san!
no subject
[ She tries to put some confidence in her words, hoping that it'll reassure the other girl that they will find Ukyo, that he won't have to linger out there by himself. As long as it's the two of them combined, they should at least be able to do this much, right? So she nods at the other girl before she's already starting to turn. ]
Then let's not keep him waiting, alright..?
no subject
...Okay. [And quietly--] Thank you, Chizuru-san...
[They'll go, and they'll search--and they won't keep him waiting, if she can possibly help it.
But of course, they will never find him because life is hard in Syno.]
