... Perdonatemi, I have an announcement.

I am not sure anyone else is aware of this, but the payphone by the door can connect to the Trumps. Or at least, when I attempted to call a Trump, it went through. I am not sure if all the Trumps are available for a call or not. I have heard some of them are dead, so they are likely not, at least. In truth, I am not really sure why they are allowing us to speak to them, now. We should all proceed with caution.

Further... if anyone has information on any of the Trumps that appeared this past Jaunt - The Magician, going by ROSE; The Hermit, going by SAGE; and The Devil - please, share it. I am not well versed in the mystical meanings behind the Tarot, only the cards and their numbers. The Magician is one, The Hermit nine, and the Devil fifteen. While I cannot say I know much about The Hermit, I am aware of many aspects of SAGE, as I was a Crypto this past Jaunt. I... I can tell you what little I know about him, if it would help.

... lastly, if anyone was Marked and feels comfortable coming forward with that information, I would be much obliged to hear it. Private or public, it does not concern me; I shall not come forward with that information unless you are comfortable providing it publicly. With so many Trumps amongst us, I cannot believe any of them would leave empty-handed, as it were.

I've ... been discussin' it with one'f my friends, and I'm pretty good with Tarot meanings. So I'm gonna be runnin' a class on the whole lot of them in a bit, once I've set things up, so everyone knows what's going down. I don't know all of them, but I'm damn good with the meanings of the Major Arcana... y'know, the Trumps themselves.

So... anyone who wants t' come along, feel free.

You can probably guess it, since she's the one who talked to me in that damned tower, but the Moon got me back during that dance trip we were on.

Oh, so that's what that phone is for? I tried calling home, and got an out of service notice.

I wonder if it will let me try again, now that I know.

I have no information about the Trumps from the past Jaunt, unfortunately. I spoke to SAGE, and other than the fact that Sun was not a part of that particular mess, and the fact that he could tell I was marked at a glance, there was nothing useful from our conversation.

However I have spoken to Sun on the telephone, and have some more information. It seems that one Trump allowed themselves to be asked a question, which opened the rest up for contact. One of the things I brought away from my question is that not only do Trumps choose people for different characteristics, they do so for different reasons. I believe that we will likely all end up connected to one Trump or another in the end. There are also a number of other subtleties of our conversation that I am still working through.

I am also available to any of the newly-marked, if anyone wishes to speak about it as well.

...Why am I not surprised? I'm almost tempted to see if 12 gets me anything.

As for what happened, turns out that wasn't the Trumps' first round on the Grid. And apparently ROSE stole us out from under the others' noses to do the thing, so I can't imagine she's very popular with most of her colleagues right now. Lovers and Devil felt the need to trap SAGE on the Grid, why I don't know - you might have more insight to that - and unleashed the Automata corruption agent instead of killing him outright.

[So basically, everyone who showed up in person just looks like an asshole.]

I don't think Lovers turned up in person, but Devil was almost certainly in the black sectors. I wasn't in any hurry to find out. And Kanji's covered the basic meanings behind the Trumps, in this case.

Furthermore, I was also a Crypto this past Jaunt. In fact, I was the Crypto who witnessed the Devil and Lovers' attack on SAGE. What the Lovers had to say to SAGE during that incident is...interesting. Their exact words were: "We’re sorry, Ix. But I can’t let you continue like this -- and I care too much to take you out of the game the other way." Draw whatever conclusions you wish.

I am available to answer any questions about the Cryptos, SAGE, and the attack.

I called the Hermit, the one who marked me.

He seems to have been changed into a canid. I presume this is related to what we accomplished in the Jaunt.

Quite a few Jaunts ago I was marked by the Fool, who was going by the name Don Orlea at the time.

While infiltrating I was converted into an automata and... sought guidance from one of the Users, who I understand was the Devil. The automata had a second user, some sort of dual construct that was supposed to be much kinder, but I'm not sure who that was. I am definitely sitting in on those tarot lessons when they happen.

I was marked by the Hermit. I had the opportunity to speak with SAGE. I must presume it happened then.

[There was a lengthy delay in Zatanna's own reply. First of all, because she'd have wanted to talk to her nonno about it in private. Allow him to see the Mark up close. So he would already know.]

I was Marked too. Near the end, when I went into that Tower after putting it all back together.

[She'd weighed the pros and cons before deciding, particularly with everyone sharing their own experiences...it was probably more important to be Open about this than keeping it a Secret for personal reasons.]

I spoke to...I don't even know how many Trumps there. It was a voice-only thing, and I could barely keep track of who was saying what. But then one of them Marked me in exchange for information.

I know most of the basic meanings for the major arcana - esoteric symbology was popular with a certain subset of hackers and fringe nutjobs back home. Someone should maybe keep a list of who's been marked - or at this point, who hasn't.

One of the trumps called SAGE a criminal, and that his execution was within the rules. And that the excursions were 'sanctioned'.

[Ohhh, so that's what that thingamajig in the box with the sign is for? And he can call the Trumps with it? Maybe he'll just give it a shot.]

Now this is neat. Did they say anything? How do you call them?

...whoops. Could have used that warning a little earlier.

The Automata belonged to two Trumps. One large and frightening, the one in the dark Sectors that must have been the Devil, and another that was "one that is two". The Lovers, I think? I don't know, I never actually saw or spoke to them. I did see the Devil though, and they were trying to... use Tyranny and Oppression to make the Grid evolve I think. They were horrible.

[Sera's mental voice becomes oddly sheepish as she continues, sounding like one might expect a child to sound if they were more than half expecting a parental figure to be angry or disappointed with them.]

I uhm. I also spoke to the Sun, and I Was marked by them. I asked them how we become the people we do during Jaunts, and he said that who we become is based on who we really are. That "every personality is drawn to its greatest resonance." I tried to ask what that actually meant, but they said they wouldn't answer me yet.
