Hajime says a lot of things that shouldn't be acted on or repeated. Just because part of him thinks fighting is the answer to everything doesn't mean that he wants to act on it, or that he should.

But how do you know who to hit and who not to hit then?

You should only fight someone to stop them from harming someone else.

He's right about that. But you always need to check first that nobody who'll notice will mind that you kick them until they explode, and that you are strong enough to kick them that much and they won't kick you that much instead.

It'd be very sad if a bad person made you explode.
