So I guess right now we're doing introductions and getting heavy shit out of the way, huh? I'm Toshizou Hijikata - the taller one, with the cyberarm. There's two of us with the same name here.

I've talked to a few people about this already, but I realized a while ago that we should probably stockpile supplies when we can - there's been a few times we've been stuck here in liminal space for extended periods of time, and some of the Jaunts aren't to the most habitable places. And there's a limit to what I can store in liminal space, not to mention that if I'm out of the picture, nobody can get to it - it benefits us all for anyone who can store stuff to do so. Water or water purification supplies, food that won't spoil, medical supplies, shit like that. Don't steal if if you can help it - trade work or supplies with the locals, or find someone with currency left over from something else.

I also have some tazers for anyone who doesn't have a weapon or other means of self-defense and wants one. They're pretty easy to use, but the charge is limited and I'm not swimming in power supplies.

And I know this is a long shot but - anyone here with any skill at cybernetics maintenance?

If you require any supplies - or anyone for that matter - I can provide them for you at will, should you describe them in enough detail. Further, if you would like me to charge your... "tasers" for you, I would be happy to do so.

... sadly, I do not know much about cybernetics, so I cannot help you there, unless I were to have the original plans.

Stuff that will last. You will need to keep it with you, of course - in your Hammerspace or on your person - but it is not Liminal in nature. The food can be eaten. Batteries work. Everything in my workshop is real.

If you could teach me the basics, I would be happy to assist you in any capacity I can.

I have to make big things in parts. Further I cannot make anything I do not know intimately, or know the inner workings of. That is best left to others, I am afraid, but I have been trying my best to learn about new things in the event they are needed.

Ah, I see. My apologies, then. I wish I could help you.

Hmmm. Yes, arousing unnecessary suspicion through thefts would only get in the way... Regardless, I would be interested in coordinating the storage of supplies. It would not do to overstock on one item only to be lacking in another.

Also, I would be interested in a tazer.

Book-keeping... It would be something to do, at least.

Where are you? I'm currently in Leo's workshop.

[ooc: y, if you'd like to continue!]

Very well. It is quiet in here as well, if you're after that. Look for the bird in the corner.

I h-hope the next Jaunt has supplies... I'd like to s-stock up, now that I c-can store stuff in my pockets. However that works.
foreveralawn: (how do I say this...)

[personal profile] foreveralawn 2015-05-27 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah... I g-guess tools would have the stayed the same? But they'd have been m-missed, so... Anyway, h-hoping the next one is less weird too.

I'm starting to g-get used to that... Maybe I'll stop being s-surprised by it. Eventually.

Cybernetics? If it's maintenance, that's easy.

[ It's a child's voice piping up in response, confident and dismissive. ]

My specialty's with mechanics, but most of the gear I use has some level of cybernetic integration.

[ WayneTech. Cutting edge. Whatever press they release to the public, Batman, Incorporated has had it for months before that. Internet 3.0, digital analysis and imaging radar systems -- their field kits are well-equipped for everything a team of modern day vigilantes would need. All his armor's got some level of sophistication to it, but his gloves and mask are packed with circuitry. ]

[ That's definitely a mental snort coming down the line. Kid's got confidence by the boatloads. ]

Simple enough. If the synaptic response times have been slow, I could probably even increase the efficiency of those at the same time, depending on the set-up you've got.

[ He's a perfectionist; always looking to make something better. Batmobile? Make it fly. Bulletproof cape? Turn it into a parachute on demand. Tinkering's just what he does in his free time. ]

I've got the materials for a temporary hold-over. Something that can handle light-to-moderate stress. But major damage or heavy use'd require a replacement. And I'd need to enlist someone who can do that whole creating-something-out-of-nothing business here.

[ Given the references, and if Damian laid out the designs -- maybe. He's not sure what the limits to it are, just yet. ]

Not a problem.

[ Not in the least. He repairs damage to his gauntlets in much the same way. ]

I can meet you in the courtroom, shouldn't take long at all to do the work.

Hard to look for things that will last, but I kept what I could. I'm not so mechanically inclined, unfortunately, so I can't help with the arm or with any sort of maintenance-- But perhaps I can help by trying to keep tally of what we have so far.

[A pause.]

Are you all right?
