After the new Liminal Space opens - Open to Travelers old and new!

To everyone who is new, I wish to extend a welcome. You are in what is called Liminal Space, a world between worlds, and you are now a Traveler. What that means differs by who you ask, however feel free to find any of us who have been here for a while and ask. I am by no means the longest-tenured traveler, but I would certainly answer any questions you have. I am easily found, as I am small and wear a blue hat.

I truly apologize for this particular intrusion into your minds with things you will not understand, however this is important and, I mostly speak to those of us who are not new.

I obtained some information about the Trumps who have died before we left the last Liminal Space. First, how they died, and the fact that they are dead is extremely relevant. Second, there were three causes of death between the four Trumps. The first was killed by an external force. My suspicion is that this is the King in Yellow or some power like him. The second and fourth causes were internal issues among the Trumps, and the third was another internal issue.

As this seems to be something that keeps coming up, and something that is important to our mission here, whatever that might be, I want to give this information to everyone. If anyone has any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

We are sent to different worlds to solve issues in each of them. I find this no different than my usual career of being a detective. I attempt to find the truth in each situation, and help others act accordingly.

In a way, we are agents of change of a sort, you could say.

If you don't have control over your self or your actions, how do you attempt to find the truth?

We might not have control over where we are sent, however, most times we have control of our actions while there. Sometimes, yes, some of us are not ourselves for a Jaunt, however, we must trust that others who are in control of their actions understand, and try to find what to do.

Outside of Jaunts, we can come together, put together what happened, and work out a way to go forward, such as my comments about the Trumps.

Yes. I do not feel like I have all of the information I would like, but it is certainly more than we had before.

If the cause of death is relevant, and one of them died at the hands of an external force... are we here to stop that from happening again, at least in part? The internal disputes thing tallies with what got said about the trump conflict we were in the middle of on the Grid - 'I don't want to take you out of the game the other way.'

They trapped Hermit instead of killing him outright.

Certainly. I would not expect him to. The information is out there to be found, and I think he expects me to find at least some of it.

I think that is part of our mission, yes. I do not believe he would have told me that it was important if we were not meant to. As to the internal conflicts, I got the impression that they were just as important as the external one.

They did not want Hermit out of the game, but for some reason, three of the four needed to be or were made to be out. That brings up some interesting questions. Which was the outside influence, and which two were related?

As Travelers, we have a psychic network to connect with each other no matter where we are. I cannot see your specific thoughts, only broadcast messages, and interpret replies.

I do apologize for the intrusion, but unfortunately, it is something you will have to get used to. I was not fond of it at first to be honest.

None that I know of. It, after a while, becomes easier to ignore, but there is no way I know of to outright block it.

He said that it was an ongoing internal matter that claimed the life of the second and fourth, and a related matter that caused the third.

I just found the words interesting. It could be nothing, but it sticks out to me.

So... maybe two of them were killed in a battle, disaster, or other event. And something about those events lead to the murder of the other one. Does that fit the language?

He has always been very careful with his words to me, so it is likely important.

That is one possibility, yes, although, the only one that I can confidently call murder would be the first. It is possible that the third was a related accident. I do not feel there is enough information to say.

Although, now I am curious about the order of their death. Which was the murder, and is there any way we could figure that out from the information we have?

This is not not the first time I have heard of these "Trumps." It my my understanding that they are the ones who brought us here. Yet mot of the time when I hear speak of them it's as if they are an enemy. Why is this?

You know of the Trumps? What do you know of them?

I do not see them as an enemy, but more of a confusing antagonist. Unlike most here, I do not believe they are set against us.

Ah, my apologies, I did not mean to mislead you. I simply meant that I have heard them mentioned several times since I've come here, but have yet to acquire more detailed information on who or what they are.

That is good. You are perhaps more wise than the average human. I... know very well how the appearance of something or someone can be quite deceiving.

According to SAGE, three of them were dead by the time he left for the Grid, and his departure was "not unrelated" to that.

Interesting. I wonder if his departure was connected to the 'internal matter' Sun spoke of. That also gives us at least some idea of timeline, although, I have no idea how long he was trapped on the Grid.

I think I remember hearing that the Cryptos were in stasis for about two hundred cycles, so it would have been at least that long for SAGE. Of course, without knowing how long a cycle actually is outside the Grid, that's not as helpful as it could be.
