I think they might just be a righteous bitch. There's definitely a layer of needing each other to define themselves, but also just who they are, like - their actual personalities, and how they act as people - is a bit of a separate matter entirely.

She wasn't always the younger sister. She wasn't always she; maybe she was the Juggler, an older brother. Or in the middle of age and boy/girl. Or none or all of these.

And they didn't always realize we were people. Some of them still have trouble with it cause "people" is hard to cram into an idea like Ruin or Lies or Corruption.

Magician seems like one of the closest to actually getting us, but also she just seems like a massive memelord in general, so I dunno how much stock to put in that. Definitely sees us in a more real light than Lovers, though.
