Does anyone know what a Cŵn Annwn is? It's not important to the Jaunt, at least as far as I can tell, but...

... yeah, actually, I've read about them. Years ago, but still. They're the spectral hounds of Annwn, which is the Welsh afterlife? They usually take part in the Wild Hunt.

They're a sort of spectral hound that shouts a lot, I believe. Arthur was rather fascinated with the myths. I heard quite a lot about them once that I did not necessarily need to know.

I also believe we had a collar to one of them at the Warehouse. The further away you were from someone, the louder you are. It tended to turn people into geese if they wore it too long, however.

Shouts...? Oh, right - hunting dog. Unless they're shouting in human languages or something, which would be vaguely creepy. What kinds of myths were there?

Though I wonder if it's limiting to only expect things from Abrahamic traditions to show up here, even if Purgatory as a concept is from that tradition.

It probably is, but given the price tag, it seems to be unusual for Purgatory either way.

I believe other people have covered it, but I'll add that they only hunt between certain dates in the human world. It varies slightly depending on the belief that's prevalent at the time - or it did in my world. It makes them very tricky to summon.

Depending on the interpretation, it's the eves of Saint John, Saint Martin, Saint Michael the Archangel, All Saints, Christmas, New Year, Saint Agnes, Saint David, and Good Friday. Possibly just the autumn and winter. Possibly Christmas to Twelfth Night.

Saint Agnes might be around now, actually.
