Sometimes our overlays are worthless. I honestly don't even know what mine saw in yours, although I suppose she and I both have a weakness for old friends no matter how they've betrayed us.

I'd strongly suggest assuming you can, and never testing the theory.

The Atlantic might have been remarkably personable for a terrifying ocean deity, but I doubt he'd be happy to be strong-armed into a space where his ocean doesn't exist, and his descendant isn't around to remind him that there are humans worth not drowning.

That's why I'd try the summoning in a closed space where he can't drown anyone or anything. Better yet, maybe even a mind palace.
