This is Naoki. I'd have checked in sooner, but I'm half-infiltrating, we didn't have reason to think there was a network divide until just now, and it's... already been a very busy week.

So. We know the midges are cameras, we know there are at least a few actors among us - it's far from everyone, but I think we've pinpointed at least two - we know everyone was delivered here from space after unknown time spent in a lab, and we know this is Earth. If anyone remembers whether Karachi is India or Pakistan, that's apparently roughly where we are, going off stuff someone found underwater. We have about twenty minutes to compare notes and start working on a plan.

I do. But not how to do it to an infiltrator. That's a level of prying I've never thought was necessary.

I can do psychic stuff with infiltrators. I just can't do healing.


... well, use my own psychic stuff on them. I can't bring them onto the network, although that could be cool.

The healing's pretty simple, it builds off the protection mechanism. It's sort of... turning it around? But not in the same way as the opt-out thing Sara-chan was talking about a while back. It's more retroactive.

Getting infiltrators on the network... is considerably more complex. As far as I can tell, it's along the same lines as putting an animal companion on the network, but you have to push a little harder to get through to an infiltrator.

Retroactive, right. Huh. I wonder what you get when you combine liminal and psychic healing?

And it would make sense you'd have to push harder with an Infiltrator, since they wouldn't be bonded to you the way companion animals are.

...That's a good question. It's clear they'd be a matched pair, but we've already got full de-infiltration.

Were you thinking of getting someone on the line this jaunt? [It's not a bad idea, really. There are so many layers here that trying to get everyone on the same page might help.]

Getting him on the same page as the rest of us would definitely be a good idea. Then we won't end up accidentally working at cross purposes to the same end.

...Do you think it'd be worth getting Branch on the line?

I think so. He's been here for a few years and we know he's an actor, thanks to Casper. And he cares a lot about Home. Plus, he's pretty damn smart.

Getting him in the loop before dropping the network on him would be a good idea, though.

Yeah. I'm going to infiltrator telepathy at Acantha first. You want to coordinate when we bring them on the network so that they can both be there and talk to each other as well as the rest of us?

That's not a bad idea. It might be less overwhelming for them if there's at least one familiar presence around.

How long you can keep it going probably depends on how much you can do with the network overall.
