Another update from on high.

Orwell's convinced there's some kind of corporate sabotage going on, so that's fun. Trying to figure out how much I can do without putting my overlay on the line.

They're also asking if any of us want to go down there in person and scare you guys into behaving, which has about a snowball's chance in hell of working, but I for one look forward to this blowing up in their faces. That said, if the island isn't yours yet you might wanna fucking make it yours before the week's out. If anyone's down there who can declarify the shit out of it, that'd probably work nicely.

It's more of a People Freak Out When Pregnant Horse Ladies Go Missing corner, especially when they are literally about to pop any day.

And honestly, I don't want to be stuck in liminal space when the baby comes. What if they end up being a Traveler because they were born there? We'd be an accessory to kidnapping!

I mean, I can technically go in bodily, but people freak the fuck out when the pregnant lady goes missing for hours on end. So I've been using memory palace as a backdoor with that little trick Kanji figured out to link memory palaces and created rooms. It lets me go while still being bodily here--I just go back to my normal body when I get there--and people freak out less when the pregnant lady is just taking a lot of naps.

It's totally useful. I forget, can you do mind palaces? Because the foundation of the trick--I'm calling it Interstitial Movement, since Kanji never did give it an official name--is based on realizing that in liminal space, where everything is solidified thought, mind palaces and created rooms are actually just the same base skill, just done differently.

Yeah, I can do those. I've been usin' that for years now. There's part of me in there right now workin' on a memory from one of the earliest Jaunts.

But luckily you don't have to be that good in order to use them as liminal space backdoors.

Room creation, mind palaces, and a certain flexibility of mind to know that in Liminal Space thought and matter are the same thing. Do that and you should be able to open a door in one to take you to the other.
